Some Descriptions of the Alt Left on the Net

The Alt Left is just the Alt Right, except they like Mao way more than they like Hitler.

Sort of correct.

The Alt Left are basically Alt Right Communists.

Sort of right.

The Alt Left is the left wing of the Alt Right.

Sort of, yes.

Ultra-brocialists.

Exactly.

I would imagine an “Alt-Left” would go beyond and be above that, putting class struggle over identity politics without using “class above all else” to shut down any debate over racism/sexism/etc. A Left that didn’t think accusing people of racism is enough to dissuade them from voting Trump/UKIP/Le Pen/et al but actively sought ways to persuade those with racist tendencies to not be racist.

A Left that was able to inform the working class that the Alt-Right and Far-Right are bad news for the working class as a class – as well as the well-documented ways they are bad news for various oppressed demographics. Finally, above all else, a Left that rejected the loopy elements of Identity Politics (as commonly found in academia particularly in the US but an issue in the UK as well, especially with the NUS) and injected some much needed rationality into the debate.

Perfect.

Aren’t the Alt Left just social democrats who are critical of immigration? Something like that.

Immaculate.

Seems like there are already people self-describing as the ‘Alt-Left’ in the sense of being the ‘leftwing of the Alt-Right’ — from what I’ve seen, social democratic on economic matters, very hostile when it comes to Identity Politics, feminism, etc., occasionally antisemitic.

Probably one of the best definitions so far.

There’s definitely a return to imagined Christian values/hetero nuclear family at core …you could have an Alt-Left that did that too I guess if you really wanted.

There are Alt Left people pushing exactly this. And anyone into traditional morals or traditional values with Left economics would absolutely be welcome here.

I think the Alt Left is the left wing of the Alt Right. That is how it seems to me anyway. Where the Alt Right embraces fascism, they embrace concepts like Maoism.

That’s about it.

Having said that, I think there’s space for some form of Leftism that is skeptical of both market and state but doesn’t sign up to any of the current far Left ideologies. And has good memes.

Sort of, yes.

Again, it’s just a liberal guy who is a White Nationalist. It’s basically the leftwing of the Alt-Right as the blog itself says or some kind of lite version of Nazbol with emphasis on the Naz and not a whole lot of Bolshevism.

Discussing Rabbit’s page. Nazbol Lite is a pretty good way to describe Rabbit, too.

Class Left is better. Or Classical Libertarians. Or Class Realists.

Classical Libertarians no; Class Left and Class Realists are both perfect. We are “class reductionists.”

Workerists.

Precisely.

We’re back to “we want a UKIP of the left” again.

A UKIP of the Left would not be a bad thing. It would seem to be an Alt Left project.

Richard Spencer Threatened Again

In response to the Trumpster mass shooting at the Quebec mosque that killed 6 Muslims and injured 19 more, Spencer tweeted a couple of tweets that were seen as nasty and insensitive. One tweet asked why there was a synagogue in a White Christian place like Quebec in the first place. The other said this is a good reason why Muslims should go back to Muslim lands, because when they come here, nutcases try to kill them! Wow, talk about blaming the victim.

The tweets set off a firestorm of criticism. A flurry of new threats against Spencer appeared on social media.

The other day, Spencer traveled to Philadelphia for some reason. When he was there, antifa made posts on social media telling people that he was in Philadelphia and urging people to assault him.

Word is that antifa are tracking his movements somehow, possibly via intelligence gathering operations. I doubt if he will be able to go much of anywhere without having his whereabouts known. Looks like he’s pretty locked down. I suggest Mr. Spencer invest in some bodyguards. It would not bother me if no one hit him again, but it looks like the antifa have got it in for him. Spencer will surely continue to be threatened and followed and may face even more violent attacks in the future.

Mentally Ill Jews Hallucinate More Fake Anti-Semitism in Major Fake News Story

Here.

In the latest fake news, New York’s Jewish community is up in arms over a fake antisemitic post that many Jews hallucinated on a local politician’s Facebook page. There was no such antisemitic post. It was all made up. Instead, there was only a feminist statement condemning the brutal misogyny of the Orthodox Jewish community, where women are little more than slaves and cattle.

90% of these Orthodox Jews vote Republican and hence are deemed mentally retarded because after all, any Jew who consistently votes Republican is a complete fucktard.

The ultra orthodox Hasidic community’s abusive treatment of women is epic. In that community, women must separate themselves from men, must dress as they are told, are forced into arranged marriages, can not divorce without the approval of their husbands and community leaders, they are not properly educated, can’t attend college, and can not use birth control, yet, the Rockland County Democratic Committee says nothing: absolute silence. Why? Because the people in that community vote in a block and the leaders of the Rockland Democratic Party want their votes. Please!!!!! Total hypocrisy!!!!

The latest bruhaha from our very largely psychotic Jewish community. Jewish paranoiacs starving for another victim fix fell all over themselves condemning the head of the Rockport, New York GOP for telling the truth about Orthodox Jews in New York.

Rabbi Moshe Schwab, speaking on behalf of the Jewish Council, while experiencing hallucinations and delusions while temporarily off his anti-psychotic meds, ran into the middle of a crowded highway and screamed, demanding an immediate apology for the “ugly anti-Semitic post” and called on local officials to denounce it. If they didn’t denounce it, he stated, the Jews would declare war on these heathen goyim until they were finally solutioned.

“At a time when tensions between communities are high and Jewish facilities and communities across the state are being targeted, the Rockland County Republican Party used its official Facebook page to launch a viciously anti-Semitic tirade against against the Orthodox community,” Schwab fibbed in a released statement.

The sane Republican who made the post defended it.

Lawrence Garvey, chairman of the GOP committee who wrote the Facebook message, said “the post speaks for itself.”

“The point of post was to highlight the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party here in Rockland, who rightfully champion the rights of women nationally and ignore what goes on here in Rockland County,” Garvey said.

The post was intended to be an attack on the hypocrisy of the local Democratic Party for sucking up to Ultra-Orthodox barbarians in the area.

Not to be outdone, another Jew, Kristen Zebrowski Stavisky, chairwoman of the Rockland Democratic Committee, experienced a temporary psychotic break. She said in an email that the county GOP posted a “racist and anti-Semitic rant meant to further divide our community and exacerbate hatred and fear” instead of supporting the millions of women and men who took part in the rallies. After that, she was rehospitalized in an attempt to control her major mental illness.

Stavisky lied, as usual, and said the post “contained falsehoods,” “divisive rhetoric” and “blatant lies.”

Evan Bernstein, regional director of the New York Anti-Defamation League’s prevaricated and said said the social media comments were “deeply troubling.” The ADL is one of the stupidest organizations ever created in our fair land. Staffed entirely by mentally ill Jews, the organization spends its time ranting about their persecutory delusions hallucinations of Nazis in the streets. The ADL truly is completely worthless and it causes one to seriously doubt whether Jews are the most intelligent race because only fucktards would support such an asinine waste of office space.

The ADL drew weapons and pointed them at Garvey and the county GOP about the Facebook post. Understandably, the nonoffensive, 100% factual post was removed. The Jewish lunatics applauded the party’s decision to delete it, Bernstein threatened in a low hiss of voice said, cradling his Uzi.

“People that are public figures have to do a better job across the board to understand that these words have a deep impact,” Bernstein said dishonestly. “The fact that Lawrence Garvey and the Rockland GOP were willing to take it down, they should be commended for that. They understood that it wasn’t going to be helpful and it was taken down, ” uttering even more barely intelligible nonsense.

Orthodox Jewish cuckqueen Kalman Weber suffering from false consciousness, a registered Republican from Monsey and member of the Ultra-Orthodox and Hasidic organized crime gangs,  said deceptively, “women are respected and looked up to in these communities.” This inadvertent joke caused widespread hysterics in social media.

Weber whitewashed the viciously misogynistic community of Jewish primitives and here are no forced marriages in the community although dates and meetings are typically pre-arranged. While women need the approval of their husbands for a divorce, men require the approval of their wives as well, she said, Jewsplaining further. Weber said she was completely cuckqueened to her husband and that was fine with her as she had very low self-esteem anyway.

“By men and women, following the dictates of their religion, does not mean they are being abused,” Weber said, telling another canard. “They are very happy to follow the dictates of their religion.” Weber expanded on her tall tale, “They are just as happy as all those cucked Islamic women who loved getting stoned to death, wearing trash bags and being  deemed too childish to drive.”

Weber also called on Garvey to step down as GOP leader, hollering with a menacing tone in her steely voice.

That said, there has indeed been some antisemitic hate crime associated with the rapidly expanding population of Hasidic layabouts in the region.

The incidents below occurred recently and are much to be lamented. However, today’s so called antisemitic Facebook post was simply a Jewish mass visual hallucination

Concern over the rapidly expanding Hasidic and ultra-Orthodox communities in Ramapo, whose population growth ranks among the highest rate in the state, has become a flashpoint throughout Rockland.

During the summer, several powerful fireworks exploded outside the homes of two rabbis in New City. Community leaders and officials rallied against the attack, and characterized it as a “hate crime.”

Anti-Semitic graffiti was also found spray painted on a Pomona street in November.

Is Part of Bannon’s Project “Make America White Again”?

Subir: I don’t think people here appreciate the driving force behind the Bannon-sponsored immigration orders.

Bannon wants to reverse the demographic changes that have occurred in this country after the 1965 Immigration and Naturalization Act was passed. This is about making America White Again. Very literally. Secondarily it is about Making America Christian Again.

That’s why the white-supremacists love Bannon and Trump. They want a separation of races and religions.

I will have to do a diary about this because people keep assuming this is about illegal immigration or employers or some other shit like that. It’s not. It’s about racial purity, plain and simple.

Ellid: We rarely agree, but I think you have a point on this. Bannon and the other racists do not at all like the idea of America becoming browner, even though demographically it’s inevitable.

These superb comments were taken from Daily Kos. I actually had never before thought of Bannon’s project in this way, but this may indeed explain his goals in part, and it also explains why he is such a hero to the Alt Right.

Some feel that Trump’s right-hand man Bannon has a “make America White again” agenda of reversing the White demographic decline after the 1965 Immigration Act and years of illegal immigration. There does not seem to be any sense to all of these anti-immigrant decrees except to attack immigrants solely on the basis that they are largely non-European. If immigrants were mostly Swedes and Italians, these anti=immigrant projects would not be underway.

Even the illegal immigration project is mostly about race and culture. If we had 11 million Norwegians and Portuguese illegal aliens living here, no one would care. In fact, there would be a clamor to legalize them.

This is why the White Supremacists on the Alt Right are so ecstatic about Bannon. These people also want to halt White demographic decline and even reverse it if possible. This is actual one of the Alt Right’s Number top projects, if not the top project. It is only in looking the demographic changes flowing from Bannon’s anti-immigrant decrees that these executive orders start to make sense. I believe that Bannon may indeed be on board with the White Supremacist project to halt White demographic decline and even reverse it if possible.

Trump’s First Days in Office Have Been Objectively Very Racist and Bigoted

Technically, Trump is not a fascist. Yet. But he’s close enough for me. I believe that Trump is the most fascist president this nation has ever had. We have never been this close to fascism before.

Trump is a Proto-Fascist or Pre-Fascist

Experts on fascism say that Trump is a rightwing populist. But when you go further right from rightwing populism, the next stop is overt fascism. Rightwing populism is just a way station on the Fascist Highway. Others have called him a pre-fascist or a proto-fascist. All fascism experts agree that Trump shows a number of fascist characteristics in spades. There’s just not enough to make the full diagnosis. But as he cements his dictatorship, his underlying  brown t-shirt may become increasingly clear. Anyone who cannot see the fascist elements in Trump and for that matter, the criminal organization called the Republican Party does not know the meaning of the term.

Trump’s Objective Racism and Bigotry against Blacks, Hispanics and Muslims

Trump has been quite hostile to US Blacks, and the recent Holocaust Memorial statement was odd towards Jews. Trump got sued for housing discrimination against Blacks. His father engaged in housing discrimination against Blacks for decades. His Dad was also a White Supremacist, worse, an out and out Nordicist. Trump’s father was a member of the KKK and participated in anti-Catholic and anti-Italian riots in New York in the 1920’s.

Trump has nominated a very racist man, Mr. Sessions, for Attorney General. His hostility to Blacks has been palpable his whole career. The mere act of nominating Sessions as Atty General shows extreme hostility towards Blacks.

Trump called a Black man at one of his rallies a thug and told supporters to throw him out. Actually he was a Trumpster himself.

Trump got into a huge fight with John Lewis the civil rights icon soon after his election. On Martin Luther King Day of all days, he sent out tweets bashing Lewis. He also declined to make a statement about MLK as is usual or to pay a visit to the MLK Museum. The symbolism is not hard to figure out.

Trump is obviously extremely hostile to Muslims bordering on the fanatical.

Trump seems to be displaying an awful lot of racism against Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. He called them criminals and rapists in his speeches.

Trump’s right-hand man Bannon took over the Breitbart website and soon turned it much more racist. There were articles celebrating the Confederate flag and there is a section of the site called “Black Crime.” Bannon openly stated that he wished his site to be the flagship of the White Supremacist Alt Right. Under Bannon’s tenure, the site became much more racist against Blacks and hostile to gays and feminists. A Jewish former editor said the comments section became overrun with open Alt Right White Supremacists under Bannon’s tenure. Bannon stated in the past that we should restrict voting to property owners only. He noted that this would considerably reduce the Black vote and Bannon said that would be a good thing.

The Alt Right, of which Bannon says his website is the flagship website, is an actual fascist grouping whose end goal is indeed fascism, the real deal. So Bannon has lined  himself up with actual fascists with a fascist project for the country.

I am dubious that Bannon is actually an out and out White Supremacist, and I think a lot of the Left’s charges against him and Breitbart are idiotic.

Trump’s cabinet is almost 100% White men. There are not even many Jews.

Modern Life Itself Is Conspiracy Theory

Conspiracy theory is life. Life is conspiracy theory.

Maybe Pynchon was right after all. Paranoia is the default operating mindset in our modern disinformation-polluted world.

At the age of 59, I have concluded that life or at least politics and geopolitics pretty much operates on conspiracy theory. in other words, modern life itself is in part conspiracy theory. The conspiracy theory is the truth and the lie is what everyone got told happened.

If you throw out all the “conspiracy theory” stuff, you end up with a lot of fake news. The world news people get is whatever the State Department, Pentagon and CIA want you to believe happened. Disinformation is everywhere and the Western press is more dishonest than Pravda in the USSR.

Every time you hear the phrase “conspiracy theory” or “Russian propaganda” go do some heavy research into what happened. I have done this many times in the last couple of years.

With regard to Syria and Ukraine, most of the  “Russian propaganda” was simply the truth. The fake news was whatever the MSM-CIA wanted you to believe. That’s right. The MSM is the CIA. It’s all one thing. The MSM is part of the Deep State, and the CIA sits at the pinnacle.

I was appalled at the outrageous lying during the war in Ukraine. The West’s lies were continuous and appalling. Syria was even worse. I do not think I have ever seen so much lying in a war before. We are entering and new era of Der Luggenkriegs (The Lying Wars). I believe most wars that the West is reporting on where the West has an interest will be characterized by a nearly unfathomable amount of MSM lying.

Look at the “conspiracy theories” for:

The death of Arafat. Natural causes. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. Actually poisoned by radiation by an Israeli spy working as his cook),

The downing of the jet at Lockerbie. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. Qaddafi didn’t do it and was set up.

The attack on the aid convoy in Aleppo. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. Actually a false flag attack done by a US drone and then blamed on Syria and Russia. 17 innocent aid workers were killed by the US in this false flag.

The downing of M17 in Ukraine. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. Neither Russia nor the rebels did it and not only was the plane not hit by a missile but there was no missile period. The jet was downed by a Ukrainian fighter and the investigation was deliberately delayed, botched and corrupted with a fraudulent final report.

The shooting down of the Russian jet over Turkey. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. Actually this was done in coordination with the US. We told Turkey 24 hours before that those jets would be in that exact location at that exact time.

US helping moderate rebels. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. In fact, US, Israeli, Saudi, Qatari and Turkish intelligence forces operate on the ground with Al Qaeda. There may have been a number of them caught in Aleppo at the end of the siege.

The chemical weapons attack by “Assad” on Damascus that killed 1,400 people. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. First the attack never even happened! There was no attack! The incident was a false flag attack done by Turkey and Al Qaeda. A small amount of sarin gas was released in the area by Al Qaeda,  leading to low levels in the  blood of residents. But the levels were so low as to be harmless. There were no 1,400 people. Instead about 400 people were killed, all Alawi and Christian government supporters who had been kidnapped from Northern Syria a year before. All of the dead identified so far were Alawi and Christian government supporting civilians who were kidnapped in that incident. They were killed by being put in a room with gas canisters leaking a toxin, perhaps carbon monoxide. Others were beaten to death, shot or had their throats slit. The symptoms displayed by the victims looked nothing whatsoever like Sarin poisoning. Instead they looked like carbon monoxide poisoning. A Turkish opposition parliamentarian is accusing Turkey of doing this as a false flag.

“ISIS” Suicide bombings of Kurdish Left rallies in Suruc and Istanbul. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. The government knew about both bombings and allowed the plots to go forward. Then police kept the injured from leaving the scene and beat up the survivors.

The “Gulen” coup in Turkey. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. There was no Gulen coup. Gulen had nothing to do with this. Erdogan lies like a rug! There was indeed a coup and Erdogan received warning of it some hours before but he allowed it to go forward to crack down on the opposition. The coupists were Ataturkist Turkish ultranationalist seculars. The US was also involved. The US put the coup in motion to get rid of Erdogan as he had started cooperating with Russia a week before.

Trump won the elections by winning the electoral collage, and all the polls were off. The “reported facts” were wrong, and the conspiracy theory was what really happened. Actually the polls were perfect. The polls were 100% correct. They predicted the popular vote well, and as far as certain state votes, Republicans committed mass election fraud in Florida, North Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin at the very least and probably in a lot of other places. Hillary actually won Wisconsin, Florida and North Carolina by ~2-3 points, more in Pennsylvania but less in Michigan. Real recounts were never done in any of those states. 70,000 votes in Detroit alone were not counted, apparently deliberately. However, even partial recounts found 26,000 fake Trump votes in Pennsylvania, 5,000 fake Trump votes in Wisconsin and 2,000 fake Trump votes in Michigan. And all of those were acknowledged by the states. Why so many fake votes and why are they all for Trump? They have been using those damn voting machines to steal elections since 2000, and they will do it forever until we stop them. It’s pretty hard to have an accurate poll when there is mass electoral fraud going on! Polls can’t predict fraud. The exit polls were far off from the actual count. Everywhere on Earth, that means electoral fraud. P.S. Exit polls started veering far off from results in 2000, when they put those damned computers in. The charge is being made by some of the US top statisticians.

Trump Forms Alliance with Al Qaeda and ISIS against Assad

Here.

I can’t believe how many of you boneheads voted for Trump or supported Trump because hurrrrr Hillary is going to start World War 3. Well, here is Trump doing exactly that by allying with ISIS, Al Qaeda and the rest of the jihadis and their sponsors in Saudi Arabia and Turkey in their war against the Syrian government. The US and Saudi Arabia will end up setting up these unnecessary “safe zones” so that the jihadis can have a huge base. The jihadis will end up taking over the safe zones and running them alongside the US, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The jihadis will use it as a base and rear supply area. The zones will back up to Turkey so the jihadis can be resupplied from Turkey. The guns will come from the US and go to Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar which will supply them to the  jihadis as they have been doing all along.

This is what Hillary said she was going to do and everyone said she was going to do and everyone said she was trying to start WW3 by doing so. But Trump did not want to get involved in Syria. He’s about to get more involved in it than we have been from the start. Keep in mind that these fake safe zones will be patrolled by US aircraft. These safe zones were set up in Southern and Northern Iraq to “protect civilians” who didn’t even need protecting. They were used as an excuse to bomb the crap out of Saddam’s air defenses for years.

The safe zones in Libya led directly to NATO involvement in that war and the overthrow of Qaddafi and the chaos that followed.

This safe zone crap is 100% about getting rid of Assad and sticking it to Assad and Russia and 0% about anything else.

I can’t believe all you pinheads voted for this monster because “Hillary’s a warmonger.” Well, maybe so, but Trump is worse. Hillary’s foreign policy would have been bad, but Trump’s foreign policy will probably be worse.

Screw all you Trump voters and Trump supporters. You can all burn.

Trump Declares War on Syria and Russia

Here.

Lots of morons think this is a good idea because hurrrrrrrrrrrr fewer refugees. Thing is, those zones are not needed. There is plenty of room in the surrounding countries for any refugees, and if you want to be really safe, just go to Syrian government-held territory. There are lots of Syrian government-controlled areas that are very safe.

This whole thing is a scam by the Saudis to occupy Syrian land and protect their jihadi pals like ISIS and Al Qaeda. By doing this, we are supporting ISIS, Al Qaeda and all the rest, but we have been supporting them since Day One anyway.

Realist Left Replies to Robert Lindsay

Originally from my own site, then a response by Realist Left here on the Alt Left page on Facebook which is reprinted below, then Lord Keynes’ response below that, the latter two of which are reprinted below in this piece.

Robert Lindsay has an interesting post here on the Alt Left.

Realist Left (whose Twitter account is here) posted an excellent reply to this on the Alternative Left Facebook page, especially on the question of Marxism/Communism in the Alt Left:

A not-so-brief reply to Robert Lindsay with regards to the role of Communists, Anarchists, Marxists, the ‘Left Wing of the Alt-Right’, conservatives, etc. within the ‘Realist Left’ and ‘Alt Left’ in general (to the extent that we and I are a part of it).

I agree and yet also respectfully disagree.

To me, the anti-Regressive Left, anti-SJW, anti-post-structuralism/PoMo, etc. in many ways is the bait. People are sick of it from across the board, and if that means that Libertarians (cultural or ideological), populist-conservatives, moderates, or even the Left Wing of the Alt Right get attracted to it, all the better for us because that gives us a platform to listen to our economic views, which in popular discourse have been completely neglected. Ultimately though, our ‘base’ will be ‘liberal’, ‘Center-Left’, and the Non-Marxist ‘Left’.

In my experience, Communists, Anarchists, modern Marxists, etc. are a lot more trouble than they are worth. They’re tiny, and yet they’re incredibly divisive, prone to conflict and moreover give off a terrible message to anyone else given their cataclysmic human rights and economic failures.

We (or I at least) don’t want them around or to be influential, or to be the ones holding up the microphone for our groups (or at least mine). I especially don’t want them in any position of power or influence within our groups. They’re welcome to join, listen in. There’s even some room for Marxian analysis here or there when it’s interesting (and especially when it comes from those who are the most interesting and prescient, i.e. Kalecki, Baran & Sweezy). But I don’t want to hear about ‘bourgeoisie’, neo-imperialism, Labor Theory of Value or any other buzz-words and simplistic forms of analysis.

It doesn’t matter too much anyways, since most Marxists/Commies/Anarchists are themselves Regressives as well. So when the opportunity comes around to distance ourselves from Communists/Marxists/Anarchists, I’ll gladly do so. Castro is terrible; Stalin is far worse. The theory concerning the Falling Rate of Profit is wrong, and no, the Revolution is not coming.

Clearly, I do not put Ryan England/Agent Commie in this group. He, unlike many Marxists, has actually read Capital and articulates its good points. And of course he’s not really a Marxist/Commie as we all know.

Same thing goes for the ‘Left Wing of the Alt Right’ – you’re welcome to hang around, bash Regressive Leftists, et al, but I don’t want to hear about proactive White Identity politics, minority bashing, Jooish Conspiracy, etc. There is NO place for that here. Period.

I DO want more conservatives to read things like the Realist Left / Alternative Left or at least a certain type of them. I will always be against the Religious Right (of which the Reg-Left seems like the new moral puritans), against neoconservative hawkery, and I will of course always be against the ‘neoliberalism’ or worse, libertarianism and corporatism that’s found within modern ‘Conservative’ movements.

But you have to realize, ‘Conservatism’ is a VERY malleable concept. 150-200 years ago, Conservatism was busy trying to keep the last vestiges of feudalism, monarchy and agrarianism alive and even included protectionism and industrial policies. 40-60 years ago, we had ‘Tory Keynesianism’ and Nixon’s ‘We are all Keynesian now’. I’d like Conservatism to go back to being more sensible on economic policy and perhaps better on foreign policy too as they were. They may be more socially conservative or religious than we are, but that’s okay. Conservatism will always be around, so let’s try to make the best of it, instead of ceding it to the worst forces possible.

One extremely important thing is we absolutely cannot become another mirror image of ourself. We cannot become the Alt Right to the Regressive Left. We cannot become the Communists to the Fascists. We’re basically somewhere between the center and left, and we’re non-dogmatic about what the ‘truth’ is; rather we’d prefer to intellectually be in pursuit of the ‘truth’. Let’s not become another religion or ideology as has befallen so many of the others (Marxism, Intersectionality Feminism, Libertarianism, Neoliberalism, Alt-Right and Fascism).

– Realist Left, comment here.

Lord Keynes responds below:

Yes, this more or less nails it.

In my experience, a lot of Communists/Marxists and Anarchists are already utterly indoctrinated in Cultural Leftism and SJWism and so are doubly wrong – both on their cult-like Marxist ideology and Regressive Leftism.

There is something of value in Marx’s economic thought, as I have pointed out here, but you can strip out the insightful points and reject Marxism as a political ideology.

My own final thought in this is: we need to *reclaim* the Center. The political Center – at the moment – isn’t much to boast about. It’s mainly neoliberalism and Cultural Leftism-Lite.

Filipino NPA Guerrillas in an Alliance with Duterte

TheMaker75: When the NPA was operating in Luzon and the major islands of the Visayas they actually had some power. Being relegated to Mindanao shows how far they have fallen.

Do you know if they clash or are friends with the MILF/MNLF/Abu Sayaf? I wonder if the military is letting them exist to keep the Muslims from spreading out of the ARMM. I have a very close friend from Bukidnon in Mindanao, and she says no NPA there. It’s a very secluded area with lots of coffee and pineapple farming. I’m curious as to exactly where they are.

The NPA used to keep corrupt politicians in check. The only thing to stop these scumbag Filipino politicians was the very real threat of a bullet to the head, and the NPA was very good at assassinations.

The further you get from Manila, the less you count in the Philippines. Mindanao is as far away as you can get, and I’m sure the New People’s Army is using the disconnect as a recruiting tool. In their heyday, the had a lot of control in Bicol and Pampanga. Basically surrounding Manila. They also owned the mountains of Cebu and a few towns along the coast. I’ve hiked straight across Cebu from Tuburan to Cebu City and never saw an NPA. It’s like an urban legend these days. My girl’s family was begging me not to go, as the NPA would surely kidnap me. I actually wanted to meet some, as I’m sure we would have gotten along. I even brought some Tanduay rum and knives I bought in Mandaue City to hand out, but alas, it was an uneventful hike.

In Cebu, at least the coastal towns were not fans of the NPA. The NPA would show up at your house at night and demand food and provisions. Not really the best way to win fans.

The NPA currently has a huge backlog of candidates wanting to sign up as guerrillas and it also has a backlog of people wanting to be candidates. It’s a pretty long process they have to go through to ward off infiltration and ensure loyal and committed cadre.

The NPA have always had an excellent relationship with the Muslim guerrillas down there.

As ceasefire is in effect with the election of Duterte. The NPA has actually formed some sort of an alliance with Duterte believe it or not. They are very pleased that he declared himself a socialist. The NPA’s aboveground organ gave him a list of Leftist suggestions for his Cabinet and he actually appointed a number of them. So the NPA in effect is part of the Cabinet of the Philippines government now. Duterte was apparently a politician of some sort down in Mindanao and he had an excellent relationship with the NPA when he was down there.

However, the NPA is very worried that the army which they call fascist will prevail over Duterte’s pro-NPA sentiments. Also the NPA says that the army has been violating the ceasefire mostly by doing propaganda, intelligence gathering, civic action programs, etc. in NPA areas. However, there has been no armed combat to my knowledge in six months. The NPA is also angry that the army has murdered four peasants in that six month period.
