The AltLeft “Tea Party,” by Rabbit

The AltLeft “Tea Party”

Very nice new article about the Alt Left from Rabbit. I actually still like Rabbit. He is apparently not happy at with Trump. He described most of Trump’s Cabinet picks as “cringey” which is at the very least how I feel about them. Actually to me they are more like “”homicidal rage-inducing” but at this point, that’s a bit of a quibble. Rabbit is on the same page with all the rest of the Left on Trumpism except on the broad race, immigration and possibly trade policy stuff. But he already seems to be selling out the trade stuff horrendously. He’s selling out the immigration stuff too. Too bad the Mexicans aren’t going to pay for the wall. You and me are! Out of our pockets into the mitts of one of one of Trump’s billionaire pals via a rigged no-bid contract. Reverse Robin Hood again, but Reverse Robin Hood is all Trumpism is about anyway. Think about it. Real hard now.

and I don’t see how he could be given Rabbit’s base political beliefs. A lot of the rest of the left wing of the Alt Right has gone over to Trumpism, and to me, that’s all I need to sever ties with them once and for all.

The thing about Rabbit is the same thing that everyone gets wrong about the Alt Left. Rabbit is a Leftist, dammit. He really is a leftwinger. He’s a man of the Left. So many people just cannot wrap their heads around that. If you look at his views across the board, Rabbit is leftwing on just about everything but race and the Cultural Left, and even on the Cultural Left, he is with them on a lot more things than I am. Rabbit holds traditional leftwing notions on sexual orientation, gender identity, feminism, etc. He’s not a social conservative at all. In fact, he is to the left of me on a lot of that stuff. On the other hand, he seems personally red-pilled and he spent a lot of time in the Manosphere and the MGTOW movement before he drifted into the Alt Left.

If he’s leftwing on about everything but race and PC Culture, how the hell is he a rightwinger? I don’t see how missing one check box on the leftwing list of beliefs throws you out of the Left. Suppose we say Rabbit cannot be on the Left due to his views on race (a common notion). In fact, we say, his racial views make him a rightwinger no matter what else gets thrown into the mix. Ok, fine, cast him out.

He’s back over on the Right now. Rabbit gets handed the rightwing checklist. Whereas with the Left he failed to check one box, with the Right he fails to check 95% of the boxes. And somehow he’s rightwing? Forget it. Getting beyond left and right is said to be a well known trope of fascism, but so what? Maybe we do need to get beyond left and right and maybe we don’t have to be fascists to do that. In fact, the Alt Left is precisely all about getting beyond Left and Right to some extent, although we are still mostly on the Left. There’s nothing inherently wrong with heterogeneous politics, and this represents your average person’s views anyway. Homogeneous politics is synonymous with ideologues, and who needs them. Give me a sui generis heterogeneous political mix versus any sort of ideologue any day of the week.

Whatever you think of his stand on race, I believe that Rabbit is a very important thinker in our movement, and besides, let’s get real, race is only part of the package Rabbit is selling. You can still buy a custom package minus the race part. Furthermore, he is a superior chronicler and opinion-maker in our movement as a whole, and Rabbit doesn’t care if you don’t agree

It’s not often discussed, but I also like his media criticism, most of which centers around movie reviews. He has a quirky sense there too, focusing on films from the 1970’s. His architectural musings are also quite good, though I don’t know much about the subject. And there’s something about a guy who unironically lionizes Charles Manson

I also very much like his prose and also a lot of his quirky worldview. I am trained as an editor and Rabbit’s prose is what we call “clean copy.” You needn’t mark it up at all, and he’s saying it better than you the editor could anyway. The rules of English punctuation are quite arcane, and 95% of Americans screw them up. Rabbit’s pretty much got them down. You would think he was a J-major.

But as far as a writer goes, he is one of the finest writers in our movement. He’s a great writer! He should be published, and in fact, I believe he is just now as he deserves to be. As a writer, most of what I read is not really great writing. Only maybe 10% of the time do you read prose on the Net that truly sings right off the page. I don’t know if he’s better than I am, but it’s awful close. It’s at least a tossup, and that’s a compliment, as I dislike most other writers.

As long as he keeps away from racial slurs, his prose is worth it for the political theory and just for the pure aesthetic pleasure of it.

A lot of people want to throw Rabbit out of the movement. Funny because he just about co-founded it. Thing is, Rabbit ain’t going anywhere, nor should he. He’s staying right where he is whether we like it or not. Rabbit is stuck with the Alt Left, and we are stuck with him. We are stuck onto each other like damned remoras. And perhaps after all that is just as it should be.
teapartyalice

I know what you’re thinking, but no, I don’t mean “Tea Party” in the sense of the happy meal conservative movement that emerged in the early part of the Obama administration. Nor am I referring to anything relating to the Boston Tea Party or the American revolution.

I’m talking about the AltLeft and how for me it has come to resemble the tea party in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1972 version of course!) This film was always on HBO in the mid 1980s, even though it came out in the early 70s. I believe the reason they began to re-air it in the 80s was because the star, Fiona Fullerton, had grown up and re-emerged as a Bond girl in “A View to a Kill,” which came out in 1985.

Anyway, when I first got involved with the AltLeft about a year and a half ago, in my mind it was always meant to augment the AltRight, not outright oppose it. It was a way to view and examine the affects of multiculturalism and political correctness from a cultural and economically left lens as well as from a secular and futurist perspective rather than the radical traditionalist, socially conservative one that dominates rightwing circles. In other words, recognizing the implicit Whiteness that underpins the identities of progressive cities like Seattle or Portland, and asserting that it must become explicit to some degree in order for those places to maintain their culture, aesthetic and quality of life.

It was to put forth the idea that someone can be pro-White without the albatross of traditionally conservative culture, pre-modern aesthetics, capitalist economics, or widely accepted Republican historical dogma (“the 60s were bad,” “Vietnam draft dodgers were traitors,” “McCarthy was right,” “I hate modern architecture,” etc.)

If you hang around rightwing groups for any period of time, you’ll find they have an assumed historical narrative that informs many of their beliefs. I say “assumed,” because they just take it for granted that everyone who agrees with them one issue such as race also accepts their historical framing of a wide range of other issues such as economic systems, religious beliefs, or aesthetic preferences (just as someone on the “Left” might assume that anyone who supports trans rights and raising the minimum wage automatically accepts the idea that racial diversity is always a good thing.) Not everyone buys the package deal.

manson

Unfortunately, the AltLeft has instead attracted a wide range of bizarre characters, each with their own zany ideas about what the AltLeft should represent. Many of them never read any of the original manifestos that I or Robert Lindsay or anyone else wrote or bothered to do any research. They just started using the term like they’d started a new band without checking to see if some other band was already using the name. That would be understandable if this were the pre-Internet days, but it seriously only takes like two seconds to Google. Others actually did thoroughly read this site and somehow managed to come to the conclusion their peculiar ideology was compatible with mine, despite it being a complete mystery to me what exactly was the point of agreement.

The AltLeft has come to attract all kinds of eccentric personalities, each one adhering to their own pet belief system. Worse than that, many have joined the AltLeft for the purpose of militantly opposing the AltRight, which is something I never intended to do (hence the reason I still use the tagline “the left wing of the AltRight.”) Though I disagree with him on a few ideological points…I happen to support Richard Spencer, and I have defended him numerous times when certain squeamish (and often prudish) factions as well as a few prominent figures of the AltRight unsuccessfully tried to throw him under the bus.

So when I interact with other people in the incoherent “movement” known as the AltLeft, it feels a lot like the sitting down at the tea party in Alice in Wonderland. It’s a group of outlandish castouts, contrarians, and vagabonds that have little in creatural commonality other than their politically idiosyncratic tendencies and behavioral eccentricities. Part of me finds this demoralizing, wondering why I ever bothered going down this rabbit hole and whether I can just climb out and forget the whole adventure. Yet the other part of me just embraces the gathering of this zany cast of characters for the sheer chaos that they have unleashed as we bounce off-the-wall ideas past each other and revel at the sight confounded normies that stumble into our world.

Amren Talks about Me

New article on the Anti-Anti-White Left, a follow-up to a previous article on the same theme, discusses me, Rabbit and some other Lefties and liberals writing along somewhat the same lines that liberalism and the Left has to quit beating up White workers, calling them names and lecturing them about privilege.

From the piece:

2) There is some confusion about the term “alt-left.”

Among racially conscious whites, “alt-left” refers to the handful of race realists who also support leftist policies such as the welfare state and gun control. There are a few websites dedicated to their ideas, such as Robert Lindsay’s blog and AltLeft.com.

Outside of these circles, “alt-left” means something else. Once Hillary Clinton promoted the term “alt-right,” pro-Clinton writers began using “alt-left” to smear other leftist writers—generally pro-Sanders people—who criticized Mrs. Clinton’s derision of Trump supporters or her focus on identity politics. In short, “alt-left” is a Clintonite smear of what I am calling the anti-anti-white left.

The first two paragraphs are correct, but the third is completely wrong. But oh well.

One piece points out that while Trump did not offer laid-off Rust Belt workers much, Hillary offered them absolutely nothing at all other “retraining.” Retraining has been the go-to liberal solution to globalization and horrific trade deals by neoliberal Democrats like the Clintons and Obama for decades now. It didn’t work back then, and it’s not working now. For one thing, it appears that this retraining was never even implemented. For another thing, it is dubious if it will ever be implemented, especially in this climate. More importantly,  saying “We are going to retrain all the workers fired by these horrible trade deals,” is just liberal handwaving and virtue signaling. How bout never throwing them out of their jobs in the first place? How bout that?

Clintonian Democrat: “Hey, we are going to throw all you White people out of your good-paying jobs so the top 10% of the population can get even richer, but don’t worry, we will retrain you to do something else, like, um…I dunno? But don’t worry! We love you! Don’t forget to vote Democrat!”

White worker: “Why are you throwing me out of work to enrich one of my class enemies in the first place though? Whose side are you on anyway? Are you on the side of me or my class enemies? Make up your mind.”

Clintonian Democrat: Bla bla neoliberalism, bla bla free markets, bla bla failed socialism, bla bla socialist failure, bla bla the budget deficit, bla bla trade deals are good for consumers, bla bla the world is changing, bla bla you can’t run away from globalization, bla bla globalization is great and helps build strong bodies 12 different ways, bla bla didn’t you know that.

Bla bla of course you are our friends, bla bla but the rich are our friends too, bla bla these are wealth creator, bla bla these are the people who give you your jobs, bla bla what are you racist or something, bla bla protectionism doesn’t work, bla bla protectionism caused the Great Depression lie, bla bla we have to get hip and get with the program, bla bla we are part of a globalized world now there is no avoiding that.

Bla bla free trade deals are good for the “economy”, bla bla trade deals are good for “economic growth,” bla bla trade deals are good for the stock market, bla bla most people are now invested in the stock market, bla bla mom and pop investors, bla bla most workers are investors now through their 401K’s and pensions, bla bla the stock market is about all of us, bla bla we all get hurt when the stock market goes down,

Bla bla financialization is the future, bla bla FIRE industry is the future, bla bla sell debt and get rich, bla bla destroy companies for no reason and get rich, bla bla fire lots of workers and get rich, bla bla why don’t you go back to school, bla bla anyone can get rich, bla bla Horatio Alger, bla bla the American Way, the business of America is business, bla bla automation is killing your jobs not trade deals.

If you lost your job to an illegal that shows you’re a loser lol, bla bla you are all deplorable White people, bla bla check your privilege, bla bla vote for us we are for women, bla bla vote for us we are for gay people, bla bla vote for us we are for trannies and every other freak,  bla bla vote for us we are for Hispanics, bla bla vote for us we are for illegals, bla bla vote for us we are for immigrants, bla bla vote for us support diversity, bla bla vote for us support Black Lives Matter, bla bla don’t be racist now, bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla.

White worker: Bye, you’re not even talking to me. Trump’s awful, but at least he’s talking to me. Maybe what he’s selling won’t work, but you aren’t selling me a thing. So I’m voting for Trump. I may be a fool, but I’m not an idiot.

In Praise of Hunter Wallace

Sam J: Robert quoting Hunter Wallace! I’m flabbergasted. I agree with most all of the things Hunter Wallace says except I don’t want to break up the USA; I want the whole country.

I don’t agree with him, but he is a superb writer! Does anyone else notice what a great writer he is? Sometimes I think it takes another good writer to recognize another good writer. Maybe for most people, we all seem the same.

But though it is painful for me to say this, I have always thought that Hunter Wallace is a better writer than I am. And I think I am very good. Thousands of people have been telling me this since I was seven years old, so I figure it’s probably true. I’m a failure at everything else, but I can write. No wait, I can get laid. OK, let me restate it. I’m a failure at almost everything, except I can write and I can get laid. Well, that means I am good at two things at least, and that’s probably better than most humans. Actually, I meet people who write better than I do frequently, and it is very humbling. I don’t mind at all if others can write better than me. I don’t have to be #1 or the best. All I need is good or better. You’re an idiot if you need to be the best at anything.

Anyway, Hunter Wallace is a fine, fine writer. He has an excellent turn of phrase, and I find myself repeating his gem-like perfect sentences over and over in my head because they are so right-there immaculate. For instance, that call-out quote by him above defining Liberal Race Realism is the most perfect description of it yet by anyone by far.

And I think Wallace is also an excellent thinker, which makes sense as good writers and good thinkers tend to be the same thing. Few writers write for mere prettiness. In fact, being a great thinker is probably one of the most important qualities in being a fine writer. Most people probably don’t realize that.

Now I also think he is wrong about a number of things. But what most do not realize is that great thinkers can still be wrong. In fact, they are often wrong. The fact that you are wrong does eliminate the possibility of being a great thinker.

Check out Otto Weininger. Now, I happen to think he is wrong about a number of things, but Weininger is great in part because of exactly how he is wrong in that most perfect, glorious and beautiful way of being-wrong. In fact, figuring out how he is wrong is one of the fantastic things about reading Weininger. His greatness lies in how he is wrong, exactly as Wittgenstein, who acknowledged Weininger as an influence, said, and Wittgenstein was never wrong about anything.

Now, I do not agree with Hunter at all on quite a few things, but I have some respect for him. He calls himself an agrarian socialist. Look up a seminal tract by Southern writers from 1935 called I Take My Stand – I believe Faulkner signed it. He’s about as dubious of the rich and powerful and the corporations as I am, and I’m a Leftist. What Wallace is selling is actually the real deal – true rightwing populism. Not that junk snake oil half-rightwing populism Trump is selling, but I mean the real stuff. His project is not as good as Marie Le Pen’s of course, and he’s wrong on race, but I do have to respect him.

Also his discourse is pretty clean and polite. You don’t hear him calling Black people niggers and whatnot, but Southern Whites have a long tradition of this genteel manner when at least speaking about race. And while we don’t agree about race, I think we agree racially on one thing. I love my people. I actually love White people and White culture. I love being White. I wake up every morning, look up at the ceiling and think, “Thank God for making me White!” I’m sure Hunter agrees with me racially in that sense anyway.

Rabbit, “A Proposal to Go Away”

From Rabbit’s site. Rabbit is upset because the Alt Left, which he helped found while creating the first Alt Left website, seems to have been taken over by entryists who are engaging in a hostile takeover of the movement and wringing out of it much of what Rabbit and even I for that matter had envisioned. Rabbit of course is into staunch White advocacy and is in fact a White nationalist. So the original Alt Left in Rabbit’s wing really was “the left wing of the Alt Right,” which is a motto I came up with which Rabbit has adopted. You’re welcome, Rabbit. Rabbit actually is the left wing of the Alt Right. He’s never fit in over there and never will because, well, he’s not very rightwing!

I’ve always said that the worst part of the Alt Right is that word in there that says “right.” See it? See that word? Well, that’s one of the most serious problems with the Alt Right right there. And if you want to know why Rabbit split off into an Alt Left or why I did the same, there’s your answer right there. Neither Rabbit nor especially I is rightwing on much of anything. Rabbit is apparently rightwing on race, but he’s not very rightwing on much of anything else. The Alt Right is a rightwing movement. They’re conservatives. Or reactionaries. Or fascists. And for those of us on the Left, no matter that we were on the fringes of the Alt Right for various reasons, that was the real dealkiller right there. The rightwing part. Because we’re just not very rightwing.

Even where we sympathize with the Alt Right, I feel that they go too far. Needless to say, they go too far on race. I am not down with White nationalism. They go way too far on Jews. I am not willing to deport all non-Whites and Jews from this country, much less kill the Jews as quite a few Alt Rightists actually want to do. These guys are literal actual Nazis. As a man of the Left, I am never going to get into bed with any Nazis, Strasserites or otherwise. Just forget it.

On men’s rights and anti-feminism, once again they take it way too far. Most MRA’s are complete idiots, basically the mirror image of the insane feminists that they hate so much. Rabbit and I are completely down with equity feminism as one of the great liberation movements of the 1960’s. The feminist-haters are lunatics who hate all feminism, even the drive for equal rights, want to take the vote away from women and even forbid women from working and make them stay at home and bake muffins and change diapers instead. That’s so reactionary I can’t put it into words.

Yes gender feminism sucks, but so does this insane reactionary anti-feminism. The MRA’s have some excellent issues, but they are mostly screeching nutcases raising havoc about imaginary issues just like…um…Western feminists? The misogyny in the MRA movement is disgusting to me. It’s as bad as the man-hating bitches in Gender Feminism. The Alt Right wants to bring back the nuclear Leave it to Beaver family and both Rabbit and I think that is stupid. “Let’s all go back and live in the 1950’s!” Come on.

Much as I hate the Cultural Left, I am one of its children.

Many of my friends never had children. My girlfriends have had lesbian sex with other women, even to the point of lesbian affairs, and have screwed 50-75 men including a number of 3-ways. Most of my girlfriends and friends have taken drugs and have been a part of the Drug Culture for a long time. We’re not against the existence of real biological gay people. Many of my friends have lived with the opposite sex out of wedlock and had abortions. Some have been single for many years. One male friend worked in the porn industry for a while. A female friend works as a stripper at times. We love rock and roll and rock and roll culture. I love the Counterculture, the Beats, the Hippies, the punks, the goths, and I don’t even mind hipsters, though that was a bit after my time.

The Alt Right hates all of those things.

The Alt Right hates modern art of all kinds and wants to go back to classical art. Rabbit and I are big fans of most all modern art genres. Rabbit in particular is into modern architecture, including space futurism and neon. We love modern movies made by (((you know who))), which the Alt Right hates and thinks is cultural degeneracy.

And Rabbit and I are both very turned off by the anti-Left and anti-socialist nature of the Alt Right since both of us are economic Leftists. In short, there’s not much space for him over there, and there’s even less for me. Hence the Alt Left.

I don’t really mind all of these entryists, but I can see how Rabbit thinks it is a hostile takeover. That’s because…well…it is a hostile takeover. The entryists have taken the movement and deracinated it so to speak. Deracinated it even to the point of not even wanting to talk about such things, as in my case.

A Proposal To Go Away

Some entryist, “Lord Keynes,” who seems weirdly obsessed with Post-Keynesian economics, made a post on his blog called “Proposal for an Alt Left Political Program.”  In it he makes the claim that my wing “doesn’t even belong in the Alt Left.”

Group (1) doesn’t even belong on the Alt Left at all in my view: these people belong on the Alt Right. The only exception I would make is Robert Lindsay, who seems to have some pretty controversial opinions and is extremely hostile to Cultural Leftism but at least doesn’t seem motivated by Alt Right racial hatred or White Supremacism.

This is of course bizarre, considering I was here long before him and am one of the pioneers of the AltLeft. In fact I wrote my manifesto about a year ago, so if he read it and it didn’t suit him, he is free to make up a new name for whatever *new* movement he wants to be a part of.

I’ve got news for you, I’m not going anywhere. I own AltLeft.com so to the extent anyone uses and popularizes the term, they will inevitably be driving traffic to my site where it will forever be associated with my views he finds so offensive…muahahahahah!

Second, the nerve of this entryist to basically say, “well I guess Robert Lindsay should still be a part of it.” Hello dude, Robert Lindsay is one of the originals, and yeah he has “some pretty controversial opinions.” The AltLeft has always been about race realism and things like gender realism. That’s the whole fucking point. It was for people who had a lot of left wing views but who held opinions considered too taboo or “problematic” for the mainstream.

If you use the term “controversial opinions” unironically, you aren’t AltLeft or AltRight or alt anything as far as I’m concerned. You’re right in there with the dominant ethos of the PC left. There’s nothing alternative about you, and you’re just looking to latch onto something with some new energy for your esoteric pet economic project. Robert Lindsay has been involved in left race realism for a long time. Heck, I even remember reading Lindsay’s blog like 8 years ago when it was one of the only blogs that honestly dealt with the subject of race.

It’s true that I use the tag line “the left wing of the alt right.” I do this for a number of simple reasons:

1. Lindsay frequently used it to describe himself, and I thought it was catchy. I needed a new tagline for my site. It used to say “the other red pill,” but I’ll confess something…I have always hated the movie The Matrix. I never liked it and thought the film was terrible when it came out. I don’t like much of any Sci-Fi from after the 1970’s. I think it’s basically all garbage (with a few exceptions from the 80’s and early 90’s.) So basically I’ve never been much into the pill analogy and find it cringy but have occasionally used it anyway.

2. It doesn’t matter how many issues one is left wing on (I’m socially liberal, anti-traditionalist and practically a “space communist,”) if you engage in any kind of pro-White advocacy, race realism, or gender realism…then when you have any kind of debate, people will automatically say “Dude you’re not left wing, you’re Far Right.” So by calling it the “left wing of the alt-right” there’s at least a chance I can debate them without having to hear that obligatory tedious remark. Even people like Amazing Atheist (who is basically an egalitarian free speech activist) get called racist, Neo-Nazi, far right and so forth all the time.

3. I can’t really ever be anything but a fringe outside figure in the AltRight because I’m too socially liberal for them. They have their own orthodoxy, which is clear to me whenever I visit the comment sections or forums at many of their sites. I’m not religious and don’t have any similar cultural or personal interests (I can probably count on one hand the number of right wingers I’ve known that had a positive opinion of mid-century modern architecture, minimalist art, or lo-fi music.) I don’t like any of the things they like. The only thing I have in common with them is that I’m racist and don’t care, but on that *one* issue I’m willing to ally with them all the way. Also, even though I’ve tried to get away from the AltRight, some of the respected figures still claim me as their own and haven’t disavowed me.

The AltLeft at least on this site will continue to occupy the niche for people who are pro-White but don’t fit in with the prudes, Christian neoconfederates, GOP+, and are too culturally and socially liberal to feel completely at home at places like the Daily Stormer and VNN. I don’t really have any hate for those other groups but definitely some ideological differences. Yet at this point they are the only ones bothering to fight for the interests of white people. Almost everyone else is useless and just talks about PC double standards and complains about free speech being restricted. At least the people at The Right Stuff recognize we’ll have to actually be confrontational toward people that hate us, and sometimes that means getting nasty and being assholes. Simply asking for mercy and understanding isn’t going to work.

So like I said, I’m not going anywhere. If it bothers you that I’m associated with the Alternative Left, then you can find a new label to associate yourself with. Look up at the title of this site and the URL. That is the brand you are helping to build. So thank you for that.

Alt Left in the National News!

Well I am copying this from Rabbit’s fantastic blog. Rabbit of course is one of the pioneers of the Alt Left. Rabbit says his traffic has gone through the roof today apparently with folks searching for Alt Left. I do not think that the Alt Left really got mentioned in the news today. Instead what happened was that Hitlery gave a speech denouncing the Alt-Right and tying Trump to it. Now the national news is all abuzz with “What the Hell is the Alt Right?” stories, which of course will probably give these guys a huge shot in the arm.

So what is happening is that everyone is writing about the Alt Right today and no one is writing about the Alt Left. But that’s ok! In fact, Trump did mention the Alt-Left briefly when he said, “There is no Alt-Right or Alt-Left…we are just spreading love.”

Rabbit sort of has his own little wing or tendency in the movement. I see this as a multi-tendency movement with some general lines to be drawn around the tent that you have to fit into before you can be let in. Rabbit’s wing is much more racially oriented than I am. Rabbit is almost a Left White nationalist, or at least he hobnobs with them a lot. Anyway, he is quite unabashedly pro-White.

Whereas I would like to bring non-Whites into my wing of the Alt Left. My wing would be for anyone who is basically progressive or liberal especially on economics who has been driven up to here with the idiot antics of the Cultural Left Freakshow. So we are sort of the Old Left before all the Identity Politics insanity came in in the 1960’s. I would say though that non-Whites in my wing cannot hate White people. They have to like White people.

If I am against anything, I am against the constant demonization and bashing of Whites. I like Whites. I like my people. I like White culture. I like my culture. We are not bad people. Actually I think we are good people. I also think that White culture is worth saving. Even if White people go out, I would like to see non-Whites carrying on with the best of White culture.

Alternative Left! Alternative Left! Alternative Left! Alternative Left! Alternative Left! Alternative Left! Alternative Left! Alternative Left!

W e w lads!

Well, traffic to this site is booming after Hillary’s speech and the subsequent media coverage. I’ve noticed lately that a lot of oblivious idiots have started using the term “altleft” recently without bothering to google it or do any research as to how it emerged. It’s like they just wake up one day and start identifying as something without even checking to see if it already exists. The AltLeft originated with those of us race realists who rejected the anti-white social justice prioritization of the postmodern left and also understand that racial differences are real and acknowledge that multiculturalism transforms society in undesirable ways.

People like Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein are not “altleft” because they represent the dominant ethos. They parrot all the same social justice crap about “black lives matter” and promote mass immigration from the third world(which makes social programs, population control and resource conservation that much more unworkable.) Identity politics aren’t going away, and only whites think in terms of “colorblindness.” Other groups(with rare exceptions) simply work in their own ethnic interests unapologetically. Demographics matter for the future. That’s reality, though we don’t all agree on solutions.

So before you go on Twitter and change your twitter bio to “AltLeft” or create another misinformed altleft Facebook group, maybe read a few blog posts/manifestos here and on Robert Lindsay’s blog to get an idea if you really want to be associated with this label.

Robert Stark Interviews Rabbit about Futurism

Here.

Great interview. Rabbit is now a regular co-host on Stark’s program, which is great because it gives the Alternative Left more publicity. Also it seems to imply that Stark himself is identifying as Alt Left! Yay! And maybe more of Stark’s guests will start identifying as Alt Left. Wow, looks like we could really start to grow a movement here. I have noticed that Stark’s guests have become more Third Positionists or even “Alt Left-like” in recent months. It’s a great trend!

Really cool interview with Rabbit. Rabbit and Stark discuss me in the last 10 minutes of the show. Rabbit says he thinks that I am afraid to take much of a stand on race because I am afraid of being called a racist. You know what? He is right! I do not want my Alt Left wing to be associated with any sort of real, hardcore racism at all. Forget it. On the other hand, race realism, cultural critique and just straight up honest talk about race is fine.

If it’s just SJW’s calling me racist, I don’t care because they call everyone racist who doesn’t buy the lunatic Cultural Left line on race. And the modern anti-racist movement can burn in Hell. That said, racism does exist and at some point, you are just being a flat out nasty, ugly racist. That sort of thing is wincingly repellent and unacceptable in my book.

Rabbit’s Alt Left wing is much bigger on race, especially being pro-White, than I am. Rabbit for all intents and purposes is some sort of a leftwing White nationalist, or at least he is not afraid to hobnob with such folks. That’s fine for him, but I am going to have to pass. I am not into primarily emphasizing race and I am not a White nationalist. If you are more into being Alt Left in a ore explicitly pro-White sense, then  maybe you want to identify with Rabbit’s wing. Sadly, he does not have a comments section.

In his favor though, I will say that I think Rabbit is a brilliant thinker and a fine writer, and he’s doing something that has needed to be done for a long time.

To me, Alt Left means more left on economics and moderate on social issues (in between the insane Cultural Left and the regressive social conservatives). However, I would still accept people who are economically left and socially conservative. That actually describes a lot of the working class right there and we need to quite turning these people off and shoving them towards the Republican Party.

What I Mean When I Say This Site Is “Pro-White”

Jorge writes:

Why the fuck “especially working-class whites”?

I can insult working-class people from other races but not this? Sorry but I think that it is wrong and stupid.

Well, I will not support anyone targeting any workers just for being workers. But no one is really beating up on working class non-Whites on here. All of the abuse coming from some liberal commenters is towards working class Whites. It ticks me off because I am White. I am White, and I do not take kindly to my people being insulted.

Also this blog is pro-White in a sense. We do not believe in White-hating, and we see nothing wrong with White people being proud. We think it’s good to be White, not bad. We think Whites are good people, not bad people. We think Whites are a high achieving race with both genetic and cultural potential for continuing high achievement. Whites have been a major factor in the civilization and development of mankind in the last several hundred years. If left up to the non-Whites, we would not have come this far. The world owes a debt to us Whites.

I like being White, and I like White people and White culture. I have now experienced what is more or less non-White culture (mestizo culture) and trust me, it is inferior. Not dramatically inferior, but inferior. When a city goes from White to mestizo here in the US, it’s generally a downgrade. Not a huge downgrade, but a downgrade nevertheless. White towns also leave much to be desired (I have major beefs with them), but they are not a civilizational downgrade. If anything, they are too civilized.

Every morning I wake up, look up at the ceiling and think, “Thank God for making me White!”

This site is trying to do something a bit different. We like White people here, but I do not want to identify as pro-White because 99% of the people who identify like that are the worst racist punks on Earth. So we are about having a positive view of Whites but at the same time hopefully not succumbing to any sort of ugly racism. If you read this blog, you will see that I try to avoid ugly racism in general, and I have a pretty low opinion of people who engage in nasty racism, like the Alt Righters. That sort of racism is just not a Left value.

We have had a large non-White readership for years now. Non-Whites are very much welcome to this site, but it would be nice if they didn’t hate Whites. I am also very interested in anthropology (I worked as a cultural anthropologist for a while). This takes the form of an intense interest in a lot of both the Euro and non-Euro ethnic groups around the world.

And I am happy to talk about most any other ethnic group on here, including those of my commenters, hopefully in a nonracist way. You can see we have a lot of discussions here on Latin America, India and the subcontinent, the Arab and Muslim World and even Africa! on most discussions about these non Euro-White groups on here we try to be fair and evenhanded and avoid of nasty racist sentiment.

How White Do You Have To Be To Be Considered White?

Ultra Cool writes: Best post ever. No point in excluding non-Euro Whites from our Caucasian family, down with Euro-elitism and Nordicism! Caucasian Pride forever!

All Caucasians are in, as long they look Caucasian, even if they have a lot of non-Caucasian ancestry, maybe even hardcore wannabe Whites can get in, Nazis and Stormtards are out because they exclude 90% of our family.

Yay!

I would say that if you are 75-85% White or Caucasian, then you are White. Latin American Whites (on Stormfront!) say that that is the metric used for being White in Latin America. More than 25% non-Caucasian, and it’s possible that you might not look truly Caucasian anymore.

If you look White and you act White, you’re White!

I know that Indian groups in the South who have a lot of Australoid in them do not really look White anymore. I do not know what they look like, but it seems like some of them look a bit like Aborigines!

From the Urals east in Russia you have mostly White-Asian mixes. Most of these people are so admixed with Asian that they are either simply Asians or they are sort of Asian-White “mulattos”. Here in the US we call them Amerasians, but we do not have a good name for Asian-White mixes worldwide. I know that the Mansi, a fascinating looking people from the Urals, are about half Asian and half White, and they have a very interesting look about them.  Some have blond hair, blue eyes and Asian eyes! Amazing looking people, but I don’t think they are really White.

In the Stans, most people are Asian-White mixes, but they seem to be thoroughly admixed, and the vast majority of them do not seem to be White. Whatever they are, they’re not White people, even if some of the women are very beautiful.

Caucasian Pride Worldwide

Another William Playfair Web writes: Robert –

You believe in Caucasian pride more than what is culturally regarded as “White” pride, do you not?

Actually I do! I do not understand White nationalists who go on and on about who is really White. Jews aren’t White? Spaniards, Greeks, Portuguese and Italians aren’t White? Albanians and Turks aren’t White? White Berbers aren’t White? White Egyptians aren’t White? Arabs aren’t White? Georgians, Armenians, Azeris and the Caucasus people aren’t White? Kurds aren’t White? Iranians aren’t White? Afghans aren’t White? Pakistanis aren’t White? North Indians aren’t White? You sure could have fooled me because they sure look White to me all right!

When I think of White, I think of my basic Caucasoid stock. When I go to the stores around here and see Punjabi Indians, Punjabi Pakistanis and Yemeni Arabs, my first thought is, “This is a member of my family!” That’s because they look like I do. And I believe they may think and behave like I do too, if you want to break the races down into Asians, Caucasians and Blacks.

I do not understand why White nationalists hate those people and say they are not related to them. Those off-Whites look like me! How can I hate someone who looks like me? I can’t. If you look like me, the way I see it is you are a member of my family, and I really feel a sense of joy when I meet members of my racial family out and about…because…it’s like meeting family!

Now granted some Arabs and Berbers are too Black to be considered White. Prince Bandar is simply not a White man. I do not know what he is. Possibly he is a mulatto. A lot of Egyptians seem to be broadly White. We had some Egyptians running a gas station near where I used to live, and I came to know them very well. The guy who ran it was simply a White man, straight up. His sons were just White guys, though their skin was rather dark.

Granted, there are some Afghans who may be too Asian to be White, but most Afghans just look like Whites to me. Surely there are some Pakistanis who are just too…something else…to be considered White, but once again, most Pakistanis just look like regular Whites to me. And the people of North India are surely White. A few North Indians are too Australoid to be White.

As far as the rest of India, you have to look at the person to see if you would classify them as “basically White” or “too Australoid to be White. I don’t give a hoot about skin color. Why should I? If some guy looks exactly like I do in terms of phenotype except that his skin is much browner than mine, why should I hate him? And why should I say he is not a part of my family? If you have a face that looks like mine, you are part of my family, no matter what color your skin is.

A Few Alt Left Positions on Race

RL: The Alt Left would be a movement that is pro-White, likes Whites and White culture and values the people and the societies they create. Also at least my wing would be nonracist. I would say that we should be antiracist, but antiracism has been so taken over by insane people that I do not want to identify with it anymore.

Not sure about the other wing – it looks White nationalist.

I would say that non-Whites can join, but only if they like White people, White culture and the societies that Whites create. No White-haters allowed.

Another William Playfair Web: That would take cutting the Cultural Marxist monopoly on the media, and involve not allowing things like Ferguson to happen, right?

Sure, but that will require another “Long March through the institutions” just like the Cultural Left did except in reverse. If we could just get a voice at the table, it might be nice.

As far as riots like Ferguson, that is a matter for city governments and local and even state law enforcement to deal with. The Alt Left will not take a stand on these riots other than to say that there is often very little justification for the rioting. They are usually rioting because another thug got shot dead by cops, typically in a justifiable homicide. That’s not a good reason to riot.

Another William Playfair Web: No affirmative Action.

No affirmative busing unless a student really deserves it.

The Alt Left would oppose affirmative action, but it’s already being outlawed in most states anyway, and corporations can do all the AA they want to and nobody can do a thing about it. And increasingly they do just that. The Alt Left will not take a stance on corporations practicing their own “goals” or AA or whatever it is they do. It’s their company, and it’s their business how they run it.

Busing Blacks into White schools has always been problematic. For one thing, it creates a huge number of White racists. Many young Whites, especially men, went to schools where Blacks were bussed in. These Blacks behaved horrifically and these Whites have been racist ever since. So busing in Blacks mostly seems to cause a lot of new White racists.

No tolerance for bad behavior for bussed in Blacks. Also I think they should be very selective about the Blacks they bus in. It should almost be a lottery where it is a privilege to be chosen. Whether or not you would be bussed would be based on your behavior at the Black school.

Another William Playfair Web: Maybe I am just too closed minded, but this “culture and values” stuff, is just too abstract. Whites in Ferguson or Kate Steinle’s family don’t give a rat’s ass about “White culture;” they just want a stop to crime/violence.

The media and the culture now say that White people and White culture are evils. We beg to disagree. We like and value White people, White culture and the societies that Whites create. The Alt Left is not so much pro-White but more that it is not anti-White. There’s no way to stop the crime and violence in Black ghettos anyway, so the Alt Left does not claim to have they key to that problem. We don’t care if Whites listen to us or not, but most Whites agree with the core positions. If you poll Whites on whether they like and value White people and White culture and whether White culture is worth preserving, 75% say yes.

Another William Playfair Web:…they just want a stop to crime/violence. I just can’t see indoctrinating NAM’s with White values stopping that.

We are not about indoctrinating NAM’s with White values. They can adopt them or not if they wish; it’s not something we care about. It would be nice if NAM’s stopped thinking that White culture and White people were evil things though. The NAM’s are not our target audience. The culture at large is. We are not so naive as to be believe that indoctrinating NAM’s with White values will ameliorate crime and violence in ghettos. We do not think it will do that, and that is not our intention anyway.
