What a Trump Presidency May Look Like: Worst Case Scenario

“Trump will win in November, and God only knows what will happen after.”

Let’s also not kid ourselves about this. We know what will probably happen, even if we don’t wanna look too closely.

Civil unrest, to which Trump will respond by lifting the fetters on the police. (Look what he said about Chicago: that a “top” police official told him they could solve the crime problem in a week, if the gloves came off.) A purge of the civil service, just as Christie promised. Hillary in handcuffs, kicking off the de-legitimization of the opposition.

A round-up of all illegal immigrants, with knocks on the door, camps, abuse in the camps, and generalized terror. A lock-down in communities of color. Abroad, an instant unraveling of the world order, as Europe and Japan (the latter will go nuclear) detach from America’s security system and Russia and China seize their opening.

A devastating fall on the stock market and a depression, to which Trump will respond with scapegoating and with Paul Ryan’s feudal program of tax cuts and budget decimation. A no-holds-barred surveillance state. A day-to-day atmosphere of menace and cruelty, at work, on the streets, and even in the home, in which the dissident American will make a tenuous internal exile.

Nuclear weapons use in Syria and/or Iran cannot be ruled out. Neither can genocidal warfare in those countries, or a nuclear arms race in the Middle East. Neither can a Russian invasion of the Baltics.

Martial law is an almost-certain eventuality.

If he wins, Trump will arrive as the equivalent of Stalin or Hitler. What is so terrifying is that there will be no free world left to stop him. I’d say we’re staring down the barrel of the end of days, but that’s a little too sunny. This approximates the beginning of the world that formed in “1984.”

Let’s see how much of this is even true.

Civil unrest, to which Trump will respond by lifting the fetters on the police. (Look what he said about Chicago: that a “top” police official told him they could solve the crime problem in a week, if the gloves came off.)

Civil unrest, yes. Vicious crackdown, yes.

A purge of the civil service, just as Christie promised.

Civil service purge, yes.

Hillary in handcuffs, kicking off the de-legitimization of the opposition.

Arrest of Hillary and war on opposition, yes.

A round-up of all illegal immigrants, with knocks on the door, camps, abuse in the camps, and generalized terror.

Illegal alien crackdown scenario above, quite possibly.

A lock-down in communities of color.

Would not be surprising.

Abroad, an instant unraveling of the world order, as Europe and Japan (the latter will go nuclear) detach from America’s security system and Russia and China seize their opening.

No, this is dumb. Smashing NATO is a great idea. Yes, Japan will go nuclear. Russia and China will seize what opening? Where? Ridiculous, paranoid view of foreign policy. Russia wants to cooperate with the US, not kick our butt. This is neocon talk.

A devastating fall on the stock market and a depression…

Quite possibly, but why?

…to which Trump will respond with scapegoating and with Paul Ryan’s feudal program of tax cuts and budget decimation.

He would absolutely respond to a crash and depression with scapegoating and the Ryan plan.

A no-holds-barred surveillance state.

Would not be surprised.

A day-to-day atmosphere of menace and cruelty at work, on the streets, and even in the home, in which the dissident American will make a tenuous internal exile.

Probably, look what happened after Brexit. This sort of thing emboldens people, and you have a fascisization of society.

And it might get hard to be a dissident, right. Dissidents may indeed go into a sort of internal exile, but that is hard to predict. On the contrary, the Opposition may become highly energized.

Nuclear weapons use in Syria and/or Iran cannot be ruled out.

I sure hope not, but I worry.

Neither can genocidal warfare in those countries…

Ongoing anyway.

…or a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

Quite possibly. Saudis may want to get nukes.

Neither can a Russian invasion of the Baltics.

Ridiculous, Russia has no territorial claims on the Baltics and has no desire to invade or occupy these lands. Neocon fantasy.

Martial law is an almost-certain eventuality.

Would not be surprised, but how would they implement it legally?

If he wins, Trump will arrive as the equivalent of Stalin or Hitler.

Sort of. Hyperbole.

What is so terrifying is that there will be no free world left to stop him.

Say what? And what’s with BS Cold War “free world” talk? This is neocon talk.

I’d say we’re staring down the barrel of the end of days, but that’s a little too sunny.

It will be ugly, but this is probably hyperbole.

This approximates the beginning of the world that formed in “1984.”

Absurd hyperbole.

The best thing for the minorities (not just NAMs, Asians and Jews are in the thick of Trumpenreich, too), is to just stfu and lay low.

Trump has been hinting that he’s trolling. He’s been walking back some remarks.
If they act up it gives him an excuse to go Ape.

    God forbid.

  2. TRASH

Asians and other minorities can leave. Some will.

Trump is all for de-regulation and a 1% himself so his pursuit of white collar criminals will be not be stringent.

Deporting illegals is not going to make the barrio a great place to live even if it protects U.S. jobs.

Ghetto inhabitants of course lack the initiative or the money to go anywhere.

U.S. becomes isolationist. If this bolsters the economy I would be surprised.

  3. Trump is a salesman, saying what the Alt-Right want to hear. He went hard to appeal to republicans and now will backpedal a little to appeal to a broader audience.

I’d be surpised if even 1/5th of this eventuates. Its desperate fear mongering from the establishment, little more. I underestimated just to what lengths the ruling establishment would go, to keep people from thinking they can vote for change.

Not that The Donald will actually reverse the decline. I expect his presidency to be neither as fantastically destructive as his opponents make, or as liberating as his supporters make.

But stock market crashes and nuclear armageddon? Mass roundups? I think its the author of the article who fantasises about these sceanrios. All pure conjecture.

That’s my opinion also – if Trump is elected (I give it less than a 10% chance) I strongly suspect he will turn day to day duties over to Pence as he’s mostly a talker (blowhard) who loves the limelight and tends to follow through on few of his promises in business so why would he be different as President? Even if he tries to deport all illegal aliens he’ll be tied up in court and thwarted by congress and I expect many of the corporations that depend on cheap illegal labor to make substantial donations to key congressional representatives and senators.

    • Barack Thatcher

It certainly will be interesting to have a Pence basically in charge.
They say he’ll rival Cheney in VP influence.

The thing with these hardcore religious right guys, like Pence, Cruz, King, Tancredo, etc., is that they are actually not cucks, despite the propaganda.
They believe in European Cultural superiority, but not racial.

Their policies will certainly be interesting.

      • Barack Thatcher

Dubya may have been a cuck.

But the Alt-Reich makes the mistake of judging all these guys, these much more conservative guys, as being the same as Dubya, yet that is simply, factually not the case.

      • They don’t believe in European Culture. What culture does the Republican party stand for? Where in Europe do you see this kind of mentality? Even the Far Right in Europe are more amenable to Socialist ideals, workers rights and championing the middle class.

They stand for religious conservatism, for plutocracy and for workers shutting the hell up and letting those globalist champions of capitalism do what they wish and rape the world and society as they see fit, because they are job creating ubermensh who deserve to own all the wealth.

You can’t compare this with Mozart, Shopenhauer or even the Medici’s.

Since when has being a fundamentalist plutocrat made one cultured?

        • TRASH

Trump’s German father exemplifies the sort of Europeans that leave Europe to become American Republicans in the first place. They possess a certain psychology and individualistic I-get-mine and Screw You mentality that was not going to earn them as much money in Germany as New York.

I’d compare Republicanism to European Feudalism in some ways. You have the land-owners and the very wealthy aristocrats and then you have the ragged peasants who camp out on Wall Street in tents jobless, penniless owning little but the ragged clothes they wear.

Funny think is that I was just contrasting feudalism with the system we have today in an email exchange with a friend last week. Kings, nobility, and other various elites of the past at least thought that they were part of the society in which they lived. There was the concept of noblesse oblige (even though it was probably more theory than actual practice). There were also a series of traditions and customs that nobility had to follow; they couldn’t just decide to change things arbitrarily (I think only the Czar of Russia was an actual autocrat, which explains a lot). I was also surprised to find out that things like infant mortality affect the rich and poor at around the same rates The thing about our modern day beloved corporate gods is that they’re using technology to try to completely isolate themselves from everyone else. Hell, Hillary used a jet to fly 20 miles last week.

The police state stuff with Robert agreed would happen is reason enough to leave. Also, lockdowns on communities of color obviously as a result to the massive backlash to Trump, simply cause they just don’t like him. In other words, extremist groups will launch a holy war against him.

On the other side, WNs will also be encouraged and will counter the minority uprising, but won’t have to do much cause the government will do it.

    • EPGAH

And when you DO leave, I bet you’ll go to Canada, not Mexico, right?

And what about the scum who have already threatened to assassinate him, or the ones who threatened riots if he wins? Why weren’t they punished?

  6. But weren’t you certain Hillary is winning, Rob? I mean I even emailed you on this such was your conviction.

  7. She is probably going to win. But it is still useful to discuss what a Trump Presidency may look like.

    • EPGAH

Why not do one about what a Hillary Presidency would look like, starting with a tidal wave of illegals, as Hillary says if they breed, they can stay?

Or MORE riots by Black Lies Matter, because Hillary says she supports them?

Plus, more ridiculous war against Men, from “Eliminating The Gender Binary” to eliminating the “Gender Wage Gap” which has already been disproven by people better than myself?

All males would be “Dissident Americans” by default. The exile would NOT be self-imposed!

      • Tulio

Illegal immigration with Mexico is at a net zero. It’s been on the decline for years due to demographic changes in Mexico. Mexico’s fertility rate has crashed dramatically. A few generations ago the average Mexican woman had 6 kids per family. Now it’s 2, like the US. So you have fewer people turning 18 every year looking for work abroad.

The president does have control over some things. Recent presidents have signed more executive orders . However trump will make America great again. He does listen. I’m not happy with the last 30 years of pay for play government. Will the government evolve as a result of the people electing trump. Hope so. Hillary will continue failed policies, more debt, and sell the office to the highest bidder(Saudi). Trump is our only hope. Not well liked for exposing the corrupt underbelly of politics.
