The Jewish Media Boycott

It is said that you know who really controls power in a society when you hear the names that are spoken of only in frightened whispers, if at all. In this post from Joachim Martillo, we see that axiom spelled out clear as air. And so the sprectre of the Jewish media boycott looms, something most Americans know almost nothing about.

There was another post along these lines that appeared in Usenet a few years ago, about a small paper in the Midwest that ran an article about the fact that supposedly 59% of Bill Clinton’s cabinet was Jewish.

Seeing as Clinton insisted his Cabinet look like America, it seems that making it look like America would have meant a Cabinet that was 2% Jewish, no? The article was an opinion piece something along those lines. Pretty innocuous, right? Well, no. Not at all.

A Jewish media boycott soon ensued. These strange things happen pretty regularly in this land, but as the adage above implies, they get almost zero publicity. To even speak of their existence is probably a death sentence for any small paper, as the very weapon that denies it’s own existence will be used to take down the paper.

In this case, a boycott was announced, and it’s always Jewish advertisers. Jews are 2% of the population and control probably 25% of the wealth in the US. Normally this is no big deal, and it’s only important in that a good career move is arguably marrying a Jewish woman. If she’s not flush, maybe the relatives are.

But in the case of the Jewish media boycott, Jewish economic power is wielded to ferocious effect. The boycott was announced, and I believe the paper even ran some articles along the lines of a Jewish advertiser boycott. One day the editor got a call from what sounded like the world-weary voice of an upper-class US White woman. These was old White money talking.

She had seen this happen so many times before, and the result was always the same. The paper usually lasts only a few months, but sometimes they last longer. There is no antidote. Death of the media outlet is virtually certain. And so it happened that the paper was laid to rest.

Now here I see for the second time the specter of the Jewish media boycott being wielded as a threat against a paper on the end of a demand that they run pro-Israeli propaganda. I have no reason to believe the guy is lying. This is how Jewish media power works in the US. It’s not that the media is owned by a bunch of grasping Jews (that’s not even completely true anyway).

It’s more that there are just enough of them sprinkled around high media places to keep a negative talk about Jews or their KKK-state to a minimum, if not off the table. And then there are the Jewish advertisers. In this case, there don’t even need to be any Jews on staff – threats alone will suffice.

Other than the Jewish boycott stuff, this is pretty much ordinary dialog along the lines of Martillo and Weiss’s blogs; interesting as far as that goes. The bit about the media going after Obama due to doubts about how pro-Israel he will be sounds far-fetched, but we cynical observers of US policy find it quite believable.

I deleted most of the third comment, as it pointed out that Mondoweiss’ comment section is getting polluted up by idiotic anti-Semites. I don’t think these are the garden variety type, I think they are more the confused Leftists and confused liberals I alluded to earlier.

Confronted for the first time with unstoppable bulldozer of US-backed Zionism, people get angry and frustrated, and anyway, anti-Semitism, like religion, pretty much explains all the mysteries in the universe and that way you don’t have to think too much. I got into it myself in 2001 when I first got into anti-Israel activism until I figured out that so much of it was nonsense and pulled my head out, thank God. Racism is lame.

There follows a bunch of Judeophilic stuff about how much Jews have contributed to our world, which anyone with a brain can see for their eyes.

Why people bother reciting this chauvinist cant I have no idea, but I think it’s mostly because they are trying to fight off accusations of anti-Semitism. Yeah, Jews are smart. Yeah, they are educated. Fine, Germany and Japan were two of the smartest and most educated nations in the world in the 1930′s and 1940′s. So much for brains and degrees as intrinsic values.

That comment, by Ann Lewis, one of Hillary Clinton’s most trusted aides and the other comments recorded in Dana Milbank’s enlightening article The Audacity of Chutzpah, referred to by Mondo above, prove the current treasonous extreme of America’s pro-Israeli lobby — the lobby many say is the most powerful in America — the lobby that many believe almost single-handedly pushed America into its ill-considered and ill-fated war in Iraq.

This lobby has now become so hyper-arrogant that they claim it is the “duty” of the President of the United States to support the will of the electorate of a foreign state no matter how much it might conflict with the interests of America.

They are, in effect, demanding that any candidate for President must surrender America’s sovereignty to Israel, a state founded for the purpose of discriminating against people based on whether or not they are Jewish.

My family was in the media. We repeatedly received letters from Rabbis, co-signed by all our Jewish sponsors, threatening to put us out of business unless we carried pro-Israeli or pro-Jewish propaganda, which we did. If you understand the power of the pro-Israeli lobby, not only in Washington, but also in the news media, the article The Audacity of Chutzpah explains why Barak Obama is being smeared by certain loud voices in our media.

Consider Saturday Night Live’s claim the press was “in the tank” for Obama — when the real problem is that Obama is not 100% “in the tank” for Israel.

Obama’s relationship with his single sleazy money man, Rezko, has received much more publicity than the Clintons’ more questionable relationships with hundreds of sleazy money men, including a handful that were channeling money from the Chinese Communists to the Clinton’s in return for the dangerous sale to the Chinese of important U.S. military assets.

The media has virtually refused to remind America of just how much evidence there is of just how many serious crimes the Clintons appear to have committed. Most of the right-wing voices on talk radio and cable news, who are currently fanning the anti-Obama movement and encouraging Republicans to vote for Hillary, have been constant supporters of the Zionist-racist end of the pro-Israeli lobby.

The media uproar about Rev. Jeremiah Wright is not really about his anti-white racism. Many black leaders, including Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have said things just anti-white as Rev. Wright — but no prominent leaders of the Democratic party have ever been forced to disown them.

Instead it is all about Israel, and the Zionist-racists’ fear Obama cannot be trusted to commit the treason of putting the interests of Israel before those of America.

To understand the ugly power of the pro-Israeli lobby, just look at the vicious smear job it did on Jimmy Carter, who has done more to help Israel in real terms than any U.S. President since Truman.

He was repeatedly smeared as anti-Semitic when he dared write in his book Peace Not Apartheid statements about Israel’s unfairness to the Palestinians that are commonly discussed within the Israeli media itself. Even American Jews who have dared to make similar statements in this country have been attacked by the Zionist-racists as aiding anti-Semitism.

ZIONISM AND ANTI-SEMITISM ARE EVIL TWINS. THEY ARE BOTH IDEOLOGIES FOUNDED ON DISCRIMINATING AGAINST PEOPLE BASED ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE JEWISH. IT IS HYPOCRITICAL TO ATTACK ONE WITHOUT ATTACKING THE OTHER.

Racial discrimination practiced by Jews is just as ugly as a similar degree of racial discrimination practiced against Jews, and vice versa. Anything else would be a racist double standard on its face.

And since, as is shown in Jimmy Carter’s book, the current racial discrimination practiced by Israel is more ugly and extreme than the anti-Semitic discrimination practiced by any but an extremely small, nut-case fringe in America, the vast majority of charges of anti-Semitism made by the powerful pro-Israeli Jewish groups in this country are nothing but pure hypocrisy.

It is time that all fair-minded Americans, including all fair-minded Jews, condemn the offensive discrimination, censorship, McCarthy-like smear campaigns, and treason of the Zionist-racists who force our politicians to subject the sovereignty of America to the will of Israeli voters and who seek to prevent American gentiles and Jews from having the same freedom to criticize Israel as the Jews of Israel, themselves.

It is time America have the freedom to honestly and openly consider the costs, as well as the benefits, of continuing to be the world’s major funder, supplier of arms, and supplier of diplomatic support for Israel’s anti-Arab racism.

Second Comment

That the American media is spending so much time focusing on Rev. Wright’s mere ugly words, and virtually no time on the pro-Israeli lobby’s treasonous, ugly requirement that American presidents put the interests of Israel before those of America, is proof of just how dominated by Zionist-racism the American media is.

It is ridiculous that Obama is being pressured to distance himself from Rev. Wright’s ugly words, when nobody is ever forced to distance themselves from Israel’s much, much, much uglier deeds.

In a cycle of violence that started when the Zionists moved into Palestine and made clear they wanted to drive the Palestinians out of their own land — much as Hitler originally wanted to drive the Jews out of Germany — the Zionist have killed many more Palestinians than Palestinians have Jews.

In response to almost every tit for tat in this cycle of violence the Zionist-racists started, they have killed many more Arabs than Arabs have Jews. The fact that one side’s bombs are now delivered by human suicide bombers while the other side’s are delivered by American-made mechanical bombers does not make one side’s violence worse than the other.

People who have been robbed have more right to use force to get their stolen property back than the robbers have to steal it.

Why is there a racist double standard that says Zionists are allowed to kill and commit acts of terror to steal, keep, and steal even more stolen land, but Palestinians are not allowed to kill and commit acts of terror to get back the land that has been stolen from them, or to fight to prevent even more land from being taken from them.

Why is there always a (usually unspoken) racist double standard in the American public forum, which accords more rights to Jews than gentiles.

When will the Jewish people as a whole ever be satisfied with equality, rather than continuing to have powerful elements within their population that constantly demands racial superiority, including the right to have a nation state that discriminates against the racial and ethnic background of 97% of Americans and 99.5% of all of humanity.

When will the Jews stop having powerful groups within their population that demand to be the pigs of Animal Farm, the animals that are “more equal” than all the others.

The answer is that it would happen within a decade or two after America was free to honestly discuss Israel and Zionism.

It would because Jews are basically just as decent as the rest of America, and if there could only be honest discussion of how ugly Israel’s racism is, and how ugly the claims of Zionists to special privilege are, most Jews would come to understand that Zionism and certain strands of racism in the Torah and the Talmud are ugly and outdated, just as most American whites took a decade or two to understand how ugly and outdated the racism against Afro-Americans — that was so deeply ingrained in many of white America’s sacred institutions — was.

The Zionist-racists of the pro-Israeli lobby know this. They know that most American Jews are fair minded enough that if there could be an open and honest discussion of Israeli and Zionist racism, and how offensive many people consider it to be, the large majority of American Jews would distance themselves from both these ugly institutions.

That is why they work so hard to seek total censorship of all things that relate to Israel and Zionism.

That is why they feel such a need to smear Obama, because, God forbid, since he had an Islamic father, he might just spread the idea that Arabs are human beings of equal intrinsic worth as Jews, and without the implicit assumption that Jews are somehow superior to Palestinians and entitled to special rights the justification for Israel brutal treatment of the Palestinians disappears.

So that cannot be allowed. That is why the Zionists fight in such an ugly and underhanded manner to prevent any honest discussions on the subject, because they know that Americans and American Jews are basically decent people, and, thus, they cannot be allowed to have free and open discussions of the ugly racism and discrimination that is the very essence of both Zionism and Israel.

Reading the comments on this list [Mundoweiss] I am happy to hear that so many oppose Israel, the pro-Israeli lobby, and Zionism. But I am not happy to see that some remarks in this list appear to be anti-Semitic, even to me…

Some Saturday Thoughts on the Jews

I’ve read a lot on your blog and I appreciate that you can talk about race, ethnicity, Jewishness, and Zionism without necessarily being racist and anti-Semitic. I think one of the reasons why there is no discourse on Israeli policies in the U.S. is because, as you pointed out, the people who tend to be anti-Zionist also tend to have outright anti-Semitic views, which to us Jews is frightening.

But a few thoughts: when you say “holocaust porn” that’s a little bit offensive. It’s one thing to claim that we still perpetuate a victim mentality despite being successful, but out of respect to the survives and the 5.7 million slain and those who survived, you shouldn’t make a joke of what happened.

When you talk about the influence of Jews in the politico-economic and media spheres, I think what you have to say isn’t too far off, but that the “tribal mentality” and “ethnocentrism” happens on an individual level rather than a group conspiracy. I know a lot of prominent Jews and I can swear there are no secret synagogue meetings in which we malevolently plot to hurt gentiles.

It’s just that from a young age we’ve been taught that yes, we consider ourselves special, and that as a people, we should look out for one another. This may be a form of ethnocentrism, but as you yourself as stated, you take pride in being white, so why shouldn’t we take pride in being Jewish?

I also wonder what your theories as to Jews’ relatedness to the rest of the Caucasian population. Jews suppress white nationalism because it often turns populations against us, and until ’48, we had no place to go.

Ashkenazic Jews look white and resemble their European populations because of intermarriage. But we were told we were “Semitic” and “non-Aryan” and thus non-desirable to White nationalists. Yet recent DNA tests have shown that the Y-chromosomes of Ashkenazic Jews (these lines were generally unbroken) are closest genetically to Greeks and Italians, which maybe hints that we share a common pre-Indo-European (maybe Hittite?) ancestor.

Does this make any sense, and would this mean that Jews should stop advancing our own interests and instead join forces with our fellow white populations? I do think that the sense of Jewish victim mentality is calming with my generation and that besides intermarrying, we’re much cooler-headed on other Jewish issues.

I also read somewhere (maybe on the Occidental Observer) that the Jewish drive and Protestant work ethic have converged in America so that we find ourselves fighting on the same side as our Caucasian brethren against radical Islam and China. So maybe perhaps there is hope for Western Civilization, and perhaps some of that hope lies with the Jews.

As far as his first sentence goes, that’s one of the main things I am trying to do on this site.

Jewish ethnocentrism becomes a problem when they discriminate against non-Jews in hiring, promoting and whatnot. That’s not ok. It’s also pretty sickening that the Jews who helped write the Civil Rights Act tried to make it so Jews could continue to discriminate without running afoul of the Act.

There are some anti-Zionists who are not anti-Semitic, but as they get deeper and deeper into it, many anti-Zionists just get worse and worse that way. Also, anti-Semitic stuff is always infiltrating anti-Zionist sites in all sorts of ways. Of course, the Zionist folks who are acting like such bastards over there are indeed a bunch of Jews, and their crappy behavior is all wrapped up in Judaism and Jewish culture.

Nevertheless, US Jews are not stealing Palestinian land, beating up their kids and whatnot, so why not let them off the hook? Any chance I can get to take the non anti-Semitic side, I will gladly do that. We can blame US Jews for supporting Israel to the hilt, but then many Gentiles are supporting them to the hilt too, so it’s not fair to single out US Jews for this abuse.

Truth is that a lot of countries around the world act just as shitty as Israel, and a lot of their co-ethnics in the US support the crappy behavior of their co-ethnics abroad, so there’s nothing unusual about Jews and their ethnocentrism and tribalism.

One problem with Jewish ethnocentrism is that, in a word, that is what all the horrors of Zionism are all about. Zionism is simply Jewish ethnocentrism writ large and encompassed in an entire state and society. It’s Jewish ethnocentrism on steroids. And the most ethnocentric of US Jews are also the “Jewiest” (the most unpleasant to us Gentiles in their stereotypical ways) and also, surprise, surprise, they are also the most Zionist!

The Y-DNA probably comes from the early migrations of the Israelites after the fall of the temple in 0-500 AD. The first places they went to after leaving Israel were places like Greece and Italy.

My understanding is that there is a also a strong line in the Ashk Jews that is related to Kurds, Turks and Armenians. These are probably the ancient roots of the Jewish people, a Semitic people from northern Iraq. Semitic in language, Anatolian in genes. If you look at Armenian people, you will often notice that they look a lot like Ashk Jews. Look at them closely!

Joining forces with your fellow Whites is probably a good idea. Jews always oppose White interests because they think it will lead to some form of White nationalism or White ethnic nationalism which historically turns on the Jews as aliens and non-Whites or non-ethnics. Certainly Jewish movements against White interests dredge up a whole lot of antisemitism among a certain segment of the population. But one might argue that the type of White who gets so upset about these Jewish behaviors doesn’t like Jews much anyway, and even if Jews stopped their nonsense tomorrow, these ethnocentric Whites would just fish around and find some other reason to hate the Jews.

I really believe that these folks need to hate the Jews for some reason, and I am not sure that there is anything that Jewish people can do to win your favor. At some point, you just have to write certain folks off as lost causes.

The new generation of young Jews is ok. I don’t mind them too much. The problem once again is anti-Semitism. As soon as any significant anti-Semitism gets riled up in US society, those very well-behaved Jews will quickly become the Jewiest Jews you have ever met. Besides being anti-humane, anti-Semitism is bad for the Jews in other ways. It tends to bring out the worst most stereotypical behaviors in Jews, which of course causes even more anti-Semitism, which makes Jews act even Jewier, which causes more anti-Semitism, well, you get the picture. You probably know how this story ends, too, and it’s not a pretty picture.

True the Jews are lining up with White interests somewhat against China and against radical Islam. However, most Jews don’t care about China. Only Jewish neocons want to fight China. And I don’t think most Whites care about China either. Yes there is a marriage of interests against Islam or against radical Islam as you put it, between the Jews and the rest of US Whites. This is not a very pretty marriage though. A lot these folks make no distinction between Islam and radical Islam. To them, all Muslims are radical.

On the end of that long newspaper spoon? A mean gruel and lies, cons and mind-heists.

Let us look at a few recent topics: How I Helped Moved a Factory To Mexico, from Business Week, actually a pretty good business publication. This article goes to show you the sheer insanity of the US government. Sure, global forces often more or less mandate taking plants out of the country.

The factory in the US closes, and $18/hour workers lose their jobs. The jobs go to Mexico, where the same work pays $3/hour, including benefits. Since $3/hour is not nearly as good as $18/hour, the flood from Mexico to the US continues.

Almost no one in Mexico is starving. As an illegal alien farm worker from Oaxaca told me over drinks at the bar about Oaxaca, “Comida, si. Dinero, no.” In Oaxaca, there is plenty of food, but no money. So everyone heads up here. Why, cuz they are starving? No, so they can buy 27 inch color TV sets.

US workers lose when US jobs are shipped overseas, then lose once again with the mad, lunatic illegal alien invasion that is ruining US working class jobs all over our nation. We have been shipping jobs to Mexico wildly since NAFTA in 1994.

One would think that this flood of jobs to Mexico would have resulted in a dramatic reduction in illegal immigration, but in fact, 1994 approximately coincides with a total explosion in the illegal immigrant tsunami to the US.

After NAFTA, workers and consumers in the US, Mexico and Canada all lost ground. Got that? Workers in Mexico, the US and Canada all got screwed by NAFTA. Some say they never made it up since either. Only business cleaned up, and only some businesses at that.

All free trade agreements between disparate nations, that I can tell, are going to have the exact same effects as NAFTA. Probably all free trade agreements that the US has negotiated since NAFTA have had similar effects, probably on a smaller scale.

Workers, consumers and public all get screwed. The environment takes a massive hit. Crappy Mexican trucks flood our highways and destroy them. All free trade agreements are always sold with the same load of crap that NAFTA was, as benefiting workers, consumers, the public, and hell, even the environment, why not?

Nearly the entire US media, from top to bottom, is in on this lie, and if you only read the MSM, you will never figure out the con. Workers, consumers, the public, the environment, and lots of small businesses get screwed by NAFTA-bullshit, and on top of that, we get an avalanche of illegal aliens.

Wow, what a deal! Hail NAFTA! Hail free trade!

File under lies, lies, and more lies: As reasonable folks may have guessed, Business Week (once again, heads up to a good capitalist magazine) columnist Ed Wallace informs us that there is no gas shortage. No gas shortage, no oil shortage, no nothing like that.

Has the media ever told us that? No. Have the politicians ever told us that? No. What do the media and pols tell us? That there is a gas and oil shortage! Why is there a gas and oil shortage? Oh, so many things! Especially, rising demand in China and India! Oh, but what a load of crap that is!

We are also told that we are somewhere near Peak Oil (but no one knows when that hits or what it even means) and this is the cause of the problem. Forget it. Peak oil implies a supply-demand equation, and no such mathematics is working like that here.

The cheerleaders for capitalism tell us that one of the great things about capitalism is supply and demand. It is true that this is an excellent way of fixing prices, and it is possible that socialist economies ignore this at the risk of their extinction. But oil prices have nothing to do with supply and demand! Nothing!

The fundamentals of the oil and gas market are exactly the same as when oil was $60/barrel back in 2006. Whether the market can go back to the $20/barrel in 2002 is not known; possibly it cannot. Check out this great, prophetic Tom Friedman column from that year wondering if the Iraq War will shoot oil to the horror of $60/barrel.

But as far as supply and demand go, oil ought to be no more than $60/barrel and I assume that gas should be no more than $2/gallon or so. So why is it $120/barrel instead of $60?

Because capitalism doesn’t necessarily work on supply and demand. The rest is just sheer speculation. Traders are pulling their money out of the sinking dollar and plunking it right into oil and other commodities, and it’s sure been a nice ride all right. Just a bunch of speculators bidding the price up like crazed buyers at an auction; that’s all it is. That’s the cause of your $4/gallon gas.

Oil reserves are at their highest levels since 1999. Gasoline reserves are at their highest levels since 1993 (!) But surely demand is rising, China and India and all that? Nope, demand has been falling all year now and will probably fall even into the summer.

On the other hand, oil refineries are not necessarily doing that well at all, at least according to them. They are getting killed by high oil prices on the one hand and low gasoline demand on the other. In order to make a decent profit, refineries have deliberately cut back oil production. The purpose of running the refineries at low speed is to push up the price of gas even further.

Distillates such as airline fuel and diesel have seen their prices so through the roof, and there are shortages of these, but they are deliberately created by the industry. If there were, why are we exporting more distillates than we are importing. Not only that, but imports of distillates have crashed by some 40% in a year.

It would seem that in all of this insanity something like a National Industrial Policy would be called for. For decades, countries South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and now China, not to mention most of Western Europe, have done just that.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that capitalism with no government (free market neoliberalism) is an orchestra of great musicians with no composer. At some point, it’s the economic equivalent to an insane asylum or an elementary school playground.

We can also see that that all of the feverish nostrums peddled by the politico-media Lying Classes are loads of garbage? We need to fly to Saudi Arabia and beg the Saudis to turn up the oil spigots! We need to drill in the Arctic!

We need to drill everywhere, off the beach next to your house! We need to get rid of environmental regulations and taxes that make gas so expensive! And last but not least, the favorite of right-wing liars everywhere, we need more refineries!

We do not really need any of these things, at least at the moment. The oil refineries lie is one of the most evil of them all. It is probably peddled by the stinking garbage in human forms that run the oil industry itself.

The line goes like this:

-Oil is high!
-Why is it high?
-Hardly any new refineries since (insert year)!
-Why not?
-Evil environmentalists! Evil regulations! They’ve made it impossible to build new refineries!
-(sputtering) Bastard environmentalists and regulators! Get rid of them so we can build more refineries!
-Yes, yes, yes!

The thing is, this whole line is just an incredibly devious lie peddled by Oil Company Scum and their gargoyle allies in government and media and rightwing politics. No regulations have gotten in the way of building any new refineries in the US.

The industry itself has flat out refused to build new oil refineries in the US because industry does not want to create more refinery supply. Low numbers of refineries are good for keeping gas supply low and prices high. The conversational ruse above is designed to get rid of existing environmental and other regulations at existing plants.

This ethanol mandate crap is about to do the same thing to food prices. My advice if you are worried about your money to put it into food stockpiles, preferably non-perishable. Food is going to go up in value quite a bit soon – it is already – and it is not going to be pretty.

It’s looking ugly and it’s going to get uglier. We socialists have in general done a superb job of feeding people and a way better job of feeding people than capitalism has (despite the Mt. Everest of capitalist lies about how socialism starves people) and hopefully a hungrier world will find more socialist-oriented policies are better for filling the belly.

My bullshit detector was screaming the other day when Yahoo Headlines shouted in my ear that Congress was going to be briefed on how evil North Korea was helping wicked Syria build a diabolical nuclear reactor.

I remember well when Israel bombed the plant in question.

I looked into the story extensively at the time and my conclusion was that Syria was building a chemical weapons plant, not a nuclear reactor plant, at the site. What’s a Jew reading these days? Oh, a Holocaust novel. Or maybe some non-fiction, surely with a Holocaust twist somewhere in there. Hollywood has a Holocaust hardon . Seems every year there’s more and more Shoah tales.

I do not have enough information yet to look into the North Korean – Syria reactor thing yet, but I have studied Syria’s nuclear program in the past. My take was that Syria has been working on a nuclear program for about 25 years now but has made little headway due to shortages of money, technology, brains, etc.

This is actually quite common; many smaller countries have similar nuclear projects in the ruts. People just do not get it. Rome was not built in a day, and neither was any nuclear program. They require a highly developed economy and always take years and often take decades to even get going.

Even when they do, there is one problem after another. The super brains like A. Q. Khan of Pakistan are few and far between, and he’s under house arrest.

So let us say I am somewhat skeptical that Syria was about “this close” to building a nuclear weapon.

So Why Not Recognize Israel?

Israel, along with its US and European supporters, is demanding that the Hamas Palestinian government do three things in order to turn back on the international aid that has been cut off:

• End violence
• Recognize Israel
• Abide by all past peace accords

On the surface, that certainly sounds reasonable enough, does it not? But looking beneath the surface, things are not as simple as they sound. Let us look at the first demand: to end violence. Why not, eh? However, note that there is no according demand on Israel’s part to end its own violence.

Hamas already initiated a hudna or ceasefire, upon taking the government. That ceasefire has since broken down amidst continuous Israeli raids and attacks, and Hamas is apparently no longer abiding by it.

But Israel reserves the right to continue to make as many “anti-terrorist” raids as it wants against “suspected terrorists”, especially in the West Bank. How messed up is that?

Furthermore, Israel continues to expand its settlements in the West Bank and is refusing to evacuate any more settlements. Do not the Palestinians in the West Bank have a right to resist this colonization of their land with weapons? I say yes! Of course they do!

The second demand is quite seductive. Recognize Israel. But it is actually a trick question. You see, Israel, unique among all countries on Earth, refuses to delineate its borders. Its borders are, as Golda Meir once said, wherever Jews live. Since Israel refuses to say what its borders are, exactly which geographical state of Israel is Hamas supposed to recognize anyway?

Furthermore, any state of Israel that Hamas recognizes will apparently include much of the Occupied Territories in the West Bank. No Israeli government is even remotely considering a withdrawal to 1967 borders. But without a withdrawal to 1967 borders, there is absolutely no hope whatsoever of a viable Palestinian state.

So Israel is in essence refusing to recognize the Palestinians as a national people who deserve a viable state. Given that, why should Hamas recognize Israel?

There is yet another trap in this question – in recognizing Israel’s right to exist. As Noam Chomsky notes, Israel is the only state where we are arguing about whether or not it has a right to exist. Now why is that? What is so peculiar about this state that it alone is the basis of this argument?

Because it, alone again amongst all other states, is not the state of its citizens. Instead it is the state of all of the Jews everywhere in the world. It says so right there in its Constitution. The Palestinian and non-Jewish citizens of Israel? According to the Israeli government, they are not exactly represented as members of the state.

This is why any Jew from New York who has never set foot in Israel can hop a plane and become a citizen while a Palestinian whose family lived on the land for centuries has no such right. Once again, unique amongst countries. Furthermore, it acknowledges Israel’s right to exist as an exclusivist Jewish state that privileges the rights of Jews over all other citizens.

As Jonathan Cook points out in this excellent piece, The Trap of Recognizing Israel, Israel’s reckless need to ensure a Jewish majority in Israel at all costs, a need for which it is willing to sacrifice many important things, including regional stability and need for accommodation with its neighbors, is profoundly destabilizing and threatens to set off regional and even global war.

I do not know enough about the prior agreements signed between the Palestinians and Israel to understand why Hamas is refusing to go along with them. Perhaps a knowledgeable reader can discuss this in the comments or in an email to me.

Is Israel an Apartheid State?

This is one of the more hot-button issues surrounding the Israel/Palestinian conflict. The very issue has aroused horrible controversy on the heavily Jewish and Zionist-dominated Wikipedia, as you can see by the preposterous, typical allegations at the top of the page.

This is what Jewish activists do to any issue that criticizes the Jews or Israel – unleash a torrent of lawyerese garbage, threats, attacks, character assassination, logical fallacy, red herrings, ad hominem, diversion, phony comparisons, you name it.

The Zionist Jews on Wikipedia are up in arms over the Israeli Apartheid article and have been attacking it for over a year with everything they have. It’s amazing it is still up there.

But meanwhile, let’s examine the issue itself. Is Israel an apartheid state? Shall I count the ways? Thanks to the anti-Harry’s Place blog, Jihad and the City, for these facts.

1. Israel: A separation wall tears communities apart and steals land. Furthermore, inside the Green Line, abhorrent “Judaization” policies are pursued in Arab districts, which involve surrounding Arab areas with Jewish settlements.

South Africa: Bantustans were set up for the Black natives, comprising about 10% of the land, while the Whites stole almost all the rest (similar to Israel, where 93% of the land – mostly stolen Arab land – is reserved for Jews only) .

2. Israel: In West Jerusalem, Jews wait for government services in short waits in air-conditioned rooms. Arabs in the same area (East Jerusalem) must line up overnight in hopes of getting seen that day. When the office opens, they must wait outside for hours in the heat before they get the main gate, where they are endlessly grilled for what should be routine document examination. Many times, they go home with nothing.

South Africa: In Johannesburg, Whites, Coloreds and Blacks were sent to separate entrances of government offices and were given services or not depending on their skin color – Whites had the shortest wait, then Coloreds and last Blacks.

3. Israel: In East Jerusalem, Palestinians have strict regulations regarding who they can marry, where they can live, where they can go to school and where, or if, they can go to a hospital. Jews face no such restrictions.

South Africa: There were identical restrictions based on who one could marry, where one could live, attend school or go to a hospital. It was all based on race.

4. Israel: Palestinians in East Jerusalem, many of whom were born there, are nevertheless classed as immigrants with “permanent resident” status and are denied citizenship in Israel.

South Africa: Similarly, most of the Black population were denied citizenship in South Africa and were labeled as immigrants in the cities and states they resided in. Most were said to be citizens of the Bantustans, but many of them had never been to these Bantustans,

5. Israel: Israel is now the only Western country that denies building permits based solely on race.

South Africa: Construction permits were issued or denied with race being the only criterion.

6. Israel: Urban planning (Judaization) has had the goal of trying to eliminate Arabs from Israeli cities or relegate them to slums. This is especially true in East Jerusalem, where the gross inequality, a product of exquisite state design, grows each year.

South Africa: Similar to Judaization, the “group areas” policy had the effect of trying to make Blacks invisible by moving them away from White districts.

7. Israel: As noted above, through the Jewish National Fund (Jewish Microsoft billionaire and all-around jerk Steve Ballmer is a major contributor to the JNF) and the Israeli Lands Agency, Israel has reserved 93% of Israeli lands for Jews only. Much of this land was stolen Arab land, and the Arab owners were never compensated for it.

South Africa: 87% of South African lands were reserved for Whites (compare to the 93% figure above for Israel). The Population Registration Act lumped South Africans into racial classes that determined who would be permitted to live on White-reserved lands.

8. Israel: Israel has separate school systems for Jews and Arabs, ostensibly due to language differences, but actually as a cover for state-mandated discrimination in schooling. As an example, Jewish schools receive far more funds than Arab schools.

South Africa: Separate but unequal school systems were an essential part of the system, designed to siphon Blacks off into menial labor in the mines, factories and fields. The school system has yet to recover from this dual system to this day, though Apartheid has been history for over a decade.

9. Israel: Israelis who marry Palestinians are not allowed to bring their spouses to live with them inside the Green Line.

South Africa: Until the Komani Ruling in the mid-1980′s overturned the pass laws, these laws were used to break up Black families by preventing spouses living in rural areas to unite with their spouses working in urban areas.

10: Israel: Part of the dominant paradigm underlying Zionism is that the Jews are a people chosen by God and that their Holy Books justifies their racism and exclusivity. Many Israelis see their victories in four wars against the Arabs as meaning God sided with the Jews against the Arabs.

South Africa: Similarly, the Dutch Reformed Church also used the backwards, tribal and barbaric (Jewish) Old Testament to claim superiority for the Afrikaners. Based on their victory over the Zulus at Blood River, they believed that God had sided with the Whites against the Blacks.

11. Israel: The victimized population has been demonized as terrorists to justify the Apartheid policies. Israel blames the victims for the oppression that Israel hammers them with. Israel absolves itself of all charges of Apartheid and immorality by blaming the victim.

South Africa: The South African regime did the exact same thing, calling the Blacks oppressed by Apartheid terrorists and blaming the victims for the misery that Apartheid saddled them with.

12. Israel: Israel represents itself as the last outpost of civilization, democracy and Western Values on the frontiers of (Arab, African, Middle Eastern, Islamic = non-Western) barbarism and dictatorship.

Nevertheless, bizarrely, instead of being compared with the West that Israel aligns herself with, Israel demands to be compared with the backwards non-Western societies she is surrounded with and with which she is defending the West against. Chutzpah!

South Africa: South Africa also represented herself as a last outpost of civilization, Western values and democracy amidst Black African barbarism, backwardness, dictatorship and just general non-Western values.

Similarly, South Africa also refused to be compared with the West she aligned with and demanded to be compared with the backwards African societies that surrounded her and against whom she was defending the West.

13. Israel: Israel is building a network of parallel roads in the West Bank – one much superior road system for Jews, one vastly inferior road system for Arabs.

South Africa: South Africa maintained a very similar system of dual roads for Whites and Blacks.

14. Israel: The Security Wall is actually also intended to grab quite a bit of land from the Palestinians. Israel’s colonization policy in the West Bank has been all about grabbing the best land and most all of the water for the Jews and relegating the dregs to the Arabs.

South Africa: Similarly, Apartheid was all about grabbing the best land for the Whites and pushing the Blacks into the least livable and serviceable parts of the country.

15. Israel: The Israeli state, both inside and outside the Green Line, is continuously seizing, destroying and bulldozing Palestinian homes, fields, orchards, businesses and lands in order to give them to Jews or use them as “security buffers” to protect Jewish colonists from the people the Jews stole the land from.

South Africa: Although this went on to a much lesser extent in South Africa, there were population relocation programs that involved the destruction of Black property.

David Hirsch, a fave Zionist Jewish academic from Britain, is one of the point men in International Zionism’s war against the Israeli Apartheid meme. He is a professor of sociology at Goldsmith’s College at the University of London. He played a leading role in the reversal of the British AUT Teachers Union decision to boycott Israeli academics.

Although he is an ardent Zionist, curiously, he is also a specialist in genocide. No, he doesn’t advocate genocide, he supposedly opposes it. That’s the curious part.

International Zionism has unleashed the usual torrent of bullshit, nonsense, lies, dissimulation, sophistry, lawyer-speak, politician-speak, Pravda-style propaganda, and the usual Jewish avalanche of logical fallacy all in an attempt to fight off the notion that Israel is an apartheid state.

A good overview of this very clever silliness, in which all 15 points above are brushed aside in favor the numerous differences between Israel and South Africa, can be seen in the Wikipedia piece, which the Wikipedia Jews have now “protected from editing”. That means that no one can do any more work on the article until all the phony Jewish complaints have been resolved, if that ever happens.

The Sleazy Khodorovsky-Rothschild Connection

Jews loot Russia. They take the money from Russian Gentiles and steal it via the Jews, for the Jews. When the Russian people (Putin) to try recover the stolen Russian Gentile money from the Jewish thieves, the Russian Jews ferret the money out of Russia into the hands of International Jewry. That way the money stolen from the Gentiles stays in the hands of the Jews.

The Jews work as a tribe.

If you want to know why so many people hate Jews so much, it’s due to behavior like this. People like Khodorovsky and Rothschild are like human anti-Semitism producing factories.

Arab/Muslim Demonization of the Jews

This video is unfortunately from a pro-Zionist viewpoint. Nevertheless, it is accurate. Arab and Muslim (but especially Muslim) demonization of the Jews is complete over the top, does indeed resemble Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda, and is out of all proportion to whatever crimes the Zionists have done.

The pro-Zionist Arab Nonie Darwish says that Palestinians are simply “killing the infidels, like the preacher in the mosque told them to.” There is some truth to that, but let’s point out here that the Zionist did indeed steal their land, and they are continuing to do so.

In general, regional hatred of the Jews goes way over and beyond anti-Zionism into anti-Semitism. Even Arabs that are not Muslim are dripping with anti-Semitism. I was once in with a group of Arab Communists and Leftists associated with the PFLP in Palestine. The anti-Semitism there was off the charts. Most people in the group were either atheists, agnostics, cultural Muslims or Arab Christians. Generally speaking, secular Arab nationalists.

I met a Syrian Arab Christian whose anti-Semitism was so extreme that he would have fit in well at Stormfront.

In short, the conflict is complex. It is not just about land, but it is not just about religion either. It’s about both at the same time, on both sides.

“Hinduland” – A Thought Experiment

Let us deal for a moment with a particular piece of Israeli propaganda – that Zionist colonization and dispossession of the natives was valid because it was ratified by international law – the League of Nations Mandate in 1922 and the UN Partition Resolution in 1947.

This is a particularly difficult bit of Zionist propaganda to deal with because it requires us to oppose the UN and the League of Nations. Furthermore, it wraps the Zionist conquest of Palestine in the patina of legality.

First, I do not consider either the LON Mandate or the UN partition (which violated the UN’s own charter) to be valid, and they are definitely not moral. Basically, the UN and the LON decided it would give away land that was not theirs (Arab land) to people who in general had no right to it.

I may acknowledge that Jews had a right to live on the 6% of Palestine that they had bought, often from corrupt absentee landowners, in 1948, much as I disagree with their goals. But the UN did not give the Jews 6% of Palestine – it gave them 55% of Palestine!

Look. Let us attempt a thought exercise. For this exercise, we need to suspend belief.

First, the Palestinians will be transformed into Americans. Palestine and Israel will be transformed into the USA. And the Zionist Jews will be transformed into something called “Hindus”, a category that is purely theoretical and has no basis in reality.

Canada will become Syria, Mexico will become Egypt, Guatemala will become Lebanon, Brazil will become Iraq and Argentina will become Iran. Islam will become Christianity. Like I said, suspend belief.

Suppose many “Hindus” immigrated en masse to the US over about a 30-yr period, to the point where the “Hindu” population was now 30% of the US population. They had gotten permission of some world power to do so and the US was somehow unable to stop them.

These “Hindus” came here with the explicit intention, stated early on, to dispossess, supplant, disperse and replace all of the Americans living here now. Why? “Hindus” need a state. They had been repeatedly pogromized and millions had been killed. There was an extermination attempt.

Besides, “Hindus” used to live here 2000 years ago – in fact, between 2000-3000 years ago, most of the US had been a “Hindu” state. But most of the “Hindus” had long since departed, though a small minority stayed on. And the “Hindu” religion always said the US was their homeland, though most Americans scoffed at this notion and were hostile to it.

As “Hindus” immigrated here, they belligerently tried to acquire as much land as possible. As soon as they bought up a town, a business, a farm or an apartment block, they would fire all of the Americans or throw them out. They turned their “Hindu” settlements into armed camps.

Some patriotic Americans started using violence to resist this nonsense and started attacking and killing some of these settler-colonist “Hindus”, who frankly, the adults anyway, deserved to be killed. This was soon referred to as terrorism. The “Hindus” formed their own militias and fighting became generalized.

Within 30 years, by 1947, the population of the US (48 million) was 30% Hindu (14.5 million) but they only owned 6% of the land, because hardly any Americans had sold land to them once we caught on.

But for at least 16 years now, armed “Hindu” gangs had been invading American towns at gunpoint and throwing the Americans out, or sitting on hilltops sniping at us until most of us fled. Then they would move into our homes, businesses and farms and steal them for themselves.

At some point, the UN stepped in and decided to give 55% of the US to these “Hindu” invaders, who had no right to be here in the first place. The UN drew the line around the Mississippi and gave the “Hindus” the Western US for their “Hindu” state.

Now, over 90% of Americans violently opposed the UN giving away 1/2 of America to a bunch of invaders, but the “Hindus” used this UN decision as a legal fig leaf for their plans.

A war ensued and the “Hindus” won.

The war went something like this: The “Hindus” conquered their whole 55% of the Western US that the UN gave them plus most of the rest. All the rest of the Americans were crammed into 30% of the territory, all on the East Coast. Most of the Americans living in the West (80% of them) were thrown off the land. They moved to the East. Some fled to Canada and Mexico where the UN set up refugee camps for them.

After 30% of the Americans living in the West had been thrown off their land and much of the Western US was already conquered, the “Hindu” state unilaterally declared its existence.

A bunch of weak countries allied with the US thought this was outrageous and attacked in support of the Americans. They were routed and another 50% of the Americans in the West, and many Americans in the western part of the East as well, were tossed off the land. The Americans who were thrown out fled to the East, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, even all the way to Brazil.

80% of American towns were eradicated by the “Hindus”, who simply bulldozed the smaller towns.

The “Hindus” rebuilt the towns and cities and renamed everything with names in “Hindi”. They made “Hindi” an official language of “Hinduland” and declared that “Hinduland” was the state of all “Hindus” on Earth, and any “Hindu” could immigrate here and come here to live. It was not the state of its citizens.

“Hinduland” refused to define its borders and aggressively laid claim to all the rest of the US for “Hinduland”. Not only that, but it also claimed part or all all of Canada, all of Mexico, and even a lot of Central America and South America. Most of the nations of the Americas became alarmed and soon “Hinduland” was on hostile terms with all its neighbors.

After the war, 93% of all land in “Hinduland” was confiscated by the state for the use of “Hindus” only. Americans could not buy, sell, rent or own this land.

Vast numbers of Americans continued to live on this 93% of the land. All of their towns were declared illegal and were denied all government services. Periodically, the state would invade these illegal towns and just steal them outright for the “Hindus”, throwing out all the Americans.

Americans were forbidden from expanding their towns, cities or even homes. All such expansions were declared illegal. If the state found out you were building on your property, they would demolish your home with a bulldozer.

Some smaller US “illegal towns” were just bulldozed. “Hindus” would come in and give the Americans 10 minutes to leave, and then just bulldoze the whole town with all of our homes and possessions burying in the rubble.

Many US farms were also declared illegal since they were on “Hindu” land. “Hindu” planes often flew over these farms, spraying them with poison. All citizens were required to carry ID cards saying either American or “Hindu”. A card saying “Hindu” granted you much more rights than the other. Only “Hindus” could serve in the military, and many of society’s benefits were reserved for those who had military service.

Over time, many Americans in the East, their army smashed, had joined armed organizations, many of which degenerated into carrying out terrorist attacks. At the same time, the military of the “Hindu” state was one of the most menacing on Earth.

The “Hindu” state carried out repeated policies of “Hinduization” in which American communities were forbidden from expanding and surrounded with Hindu communities in a blatant racist effort to drown them out or surround them.

Many towns were “Hindu”-only towns and most schools were “Hindu”-only schools. The Americans had their own schools and towns, but they were given only a fraction of the state funds that “Hindu” towns and schools got. Despite being one of the most racist states on Earth, “Hinduland” claimed it was the World Headquarters of Anti-Racism.

A lot of violent resistance started up against “Hinduland” and even its “Hindu” residents, who were seen by many Americans as usurpers. There were frequent attacks on so-called innocent “Hindu” civilians.

There were more wars. In one war, “Hinduland” conquered about 15% of Mexico and built settlements there. Mexico went on a permanent war footing against “Hinduland” as a result. For this behavior in defense of their stolen homeland, Mexicans were compared to Adolf Hitler.

After another huge war in which Canada and Mexico were routed, 20 years after the UN resolution, 100% of the US was under “Hindu” control. The Hindu state now covered 78% of America. The rest of the Americans were hanging on on the East Coast, but now that was all under “Hindu” military occupation.

There was another war, and “Hinduland” conquered a good slice of Canada (10%) and promptly annexed it and settled it. Canada went on a permanent war footing against “Hinduland” and aggressively funded US armed and terrorist groups to attack “Hinduland”. For this action in defense of their lands being annexed by an invader, Canada was compared to Hitler’s Germany.

In the 3rd war, “Hinduland” also conquered part of Guatemala but refused to give it back because it said it was really Mexico, not Guatemala. Guatemala was transformed into a permanently hostile state and “Hinduland” waged repeated wars against it, including a long occupation that it finally abandoned after suffering casualties.

After a while, “Hindus” started to build colonies in the Occupied Eastern Territories, stealing most of the water, making “Hindu”-only roads and military bases all over, continuously destroying more and more US homes, businesses and ag fields, all for the continuing expansion of the “Hindu” colonies in the East. By this time, many Americans were living in refugee camps.

A lot of Americans were really angry at these “Hindus” for good reason. They were accused of racism and compared to Hitler and Nazis and the worst racists on Earth, all because of their justifiable anger at these “Hindus”.

The “Hindus” waged wild propaganda campaigns the world over against something called anti-”Hinduism” which was coincidentally exploding around the world in tandem with “Hindu” colonization of the US. This was said to be the worst form of vile racism and was compared to KKK and all forms of wicked and murderous racism down through time.

Americans who resented the colonization of their land were accused of being genocidal and wanting to kill all 150 million “Hindus” in the US. After they got done exterminating the 150 million “Hindus”, the Americans, often armed only with rocks and pieces of concrete which they haplessly hurled at top of the line armored vehicles, would supposedly proceed to wipe out every single last “Hindus” on Earth.

It was never really explained why Americans would conduct such a dastardly campaign, and few, if any, Americans even talked about it, despite what the “Hindus” had done to them. Yet still, the Americans were constantly accused of harboring genocidal wishes every time they picked up a gun to defend their lands against the invaders.

The general assumption was that Americans were just bizarre, genocidal, clinically insane criminals who were out to exterminate “Hindus” out of blind, vicious hatred.

In reality, the Americans were just resisting the colonization of their land. Furthermore, in fighting the colonizers of their land, most Americans were said to be religious bigots who hated the “Hindu” religion, though before colonization, most never cared anything about “Hinduism”.

After a while, a peace treaty was signed with Mexico and a few Caribbean states. In return, “Hinduland” gave back the part of Mexico it had annexed. A bizarre historiography was created in which America and Americans never existed. Americans, due to their terrorism, were said to represent primitivism and barbarism, while “Hinduland” represented the force of Worldwide Modern Civilization.

Over time, “Hinduland” gained the support of the largest world powers, including one whose military was larger than that of the rest of the world combined.

“Hinduland” and its huge ally decided to wage a worldwide war against “terrorism”, which was really mostly just a war against Americans fighting colonization and dispossession. It was also a war against Guatemala and Canada, whose lands were still occupied, annexed and colonized by “Hinduland”.

Other large powers, Brazil and Argentina, became involved in the conflict and starting funding US terrorist organizations due to the fact that they were also Christians, like the Americans. The war had degenerated into “Hindus” versus Christians. Since Christians were engaging in terrorism, the entire Christian religion was said to be a gutter religion out to dominate the world by force.

Soon, it was said that Christians wanted to exterminate or forcibly convert all non-Christians on Earth. This made-up lie was inferred due to their resistance against non-Christians in “Hinduland”. The war on terrorism was soon transformed into a war of Hindus against Christians in general. Many Christian states were targeted by “Hinduland” and its allies in one war or another.

“Hinduland”‘s imperial partner invaded Brazil but the whole invasion and occupation turned into a massive debacle and soon Brazil was wracked with Civil War, with Catholics and Protestants killing each other. The imperial power wanted out of Brazil.

In June 2006 a fake pretext was made for “Hinduland”‘s invasion of Guatemala. “Hinduland” soon set about destroying most of the country. Canada and Argentina started supplying Guatemala with weaponry and Guatemala fired missiles at “Hinduland”. This missiles caused some deaths, but “Hinduland” killed 20 times more civilians with their invasion of Guatemala.

“Hinduland” waged this war of aggression and choice because tiny Guatemala was said to be intent on destroying “Hinduland” and slaughtering all 150 million “Hindu” residents, even though this was not possible with its puny arsenal.

The real reason for the war was to try to drag Argentina and Canada into the conflict. Argentina was said to be developing nuclear weapons and the world would not allow this, even though the world stood by while “Hinduland” acquired 300 nuclear weapons. The future looked bleak. A huge “Hinduland” force was in Guatemala but was making little headway amidst heavy casualties.

There were continuing efforts to drag Argentina and Canada into the war so that they could be destroyed by “Hinduland” and its imperial partner.

It was August 2006 and but it may as well have been 1939 or 1914.

A terrifying yet exhilarating edge was in the air. The older folks were saying, “I remember the last time the world felt this way”. The world seemed on the edge of, if not world war, a major world conflict.

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula of course is the mastermind behind the film The Innocence of Muslims. Nakoula directed the cheap, lousy film which attacked the Prophet Mohammed in some pretty vicious ways. The actors were told they were making an innocent movie. After the filming was done, their lines were dubbed over with other lines attacking Mohammed in various ways.

An article in an Egyptian paper first notified the Muslim world of the film. The film had already been out for a few months, but the Muslim world had not yet gotten wind of it.

It turned out that the Muslim world first heard of the film about the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks this year. This led to violent and even deadly riots across the Muslim world, including an attack on the US embassy in Benghazi that killed the US ambassador and three other Americans.

Nakoula is an Egyptian Copt. Another Copt was also deeply involved in making the film. The other major faction involved in the film was headed by Steve Klein, a fundamentalist Christian. Another group was associated with the Christian fundamentalist Church of the Kaweahs just south of me in the Central Valley of California.

When the film first came out, Nakoula sought to put the blame on Israelis and Jews to deflect attention from himself. He said he was an Israeli and claimed that the cheapo movie had been funded by 100 wealthy US Jews. Truth is that no Jews were involved in the making or funding of the film.

However, some Jews have defended Nakoula. Jewish defenders include major Jewish bloggers such as Pamela Geller. Geller is an extreme Zionist and radical Islamophobe. Her blog is called Atlas Shrugs. She has appeared on this site before in the comments section. Robert Spencer is another radical Islamophobe. He is a standard rightwing Republican neocon. However, his roots are with Maronite Christians in Lebanon.

So we can see that the major promoters and defenders of the film other than stateside fundamentalist Christians are the Christians and Jews of the Middle East and their supporters. Middle Eastern Muslims do not play well with minorities, and both Christian and Jewish minorities in the region have suffered greatly at the hands of the Muslim majority.

To be fair, this does include the Jews of Israel. The settler-colonial nature of the project is probably of secondary consideration to many Middle Eastern Muslims. They simply will not accept a Jewish state on the region on what they consider to be Muslim lands. In fact, I believe they won’t even accept a strong Jewish presence in the region. If Jews are to live in the region at all, it should be as an oppressed minority under Muslim majority rule.

So we can see that some of the biggest Muslim haters are those Middle Eastern religious minorities who have borne the wrath of Middle Eastern Muslims’ hatred of religious minorities. The Muslims have created this monster via their oppression of religious minorities in the region.

Israel: Just Pack Up and Go

Very interesting article by Nadim Shehadi, a Lebanese economist, written after the Lebanon War in 2006. In contrast to the raw anti-Semitism that animates so much anti-Israel sentiment in the Arab World (let’s be honest now – it’s a fact), this article makes some very reasonable points.

First of all, Shehadi has argued that the Zionist dream has failed. Keep in mind that Herzl dreamed of a Jewish state that would end anti-Semitism by separating Jews from Gentiles, because the two could not live together due to the innate or at least timeless hatred of the Gentile of the Jew. Keep in mind that Herzl was speaking from the point of view of a European Ashkenazi Jew.

Herzl, an Austrian journalist and the founder of modern Zionism, was a secular Jew who originally was an originally an assimilationist. However, the Dreyfus Trial in France in the late 1800′s shocked him and convinced him that the Gentiles were doomed to forever hate the Jews. He felt that it would be better for both parties to just separate.

In Herzl’s dream, the Jewish state would gather the Jews from all around the Diaspora. Since living together caused anti-Semitism, separation would end it. The Jewish state would be at peace with its neighbors and Jewish-Gentile relations would be harmonious.

By all accounts, Herzl’s dream lies in ruins. Zionism has not resolved the Jewish Question, as its founding has caused four wars, two wars in Lebanon and continuous guerrilla war in the area surrounding Israel. It has arguably contributed to two wars against Iraq, bombing of Libya and the general spread of Islamist terrorism in the region.

Israel has been a disaster. Surely it’s no safe haven for the Jews. Most Jews are safer in the Diaspora, especially in the US. As recently as last summer, there were 13 homicidal attacks against Jews in and around Israel every single day (and that does not count the Lebanon War). In the war on Lebanon, Israel essentially destroyed the state of Lebanon, at least in terms of infrastructure.

As Shehadi notes, if the only way Israel can survive is by destroying the neighborhood, why doesn’t Israel just pack up and go? We can argue forever about the reasons why Israel’s presence in its current state causes so much animosity, but reasons don’t really matter. The truth is a Jewish state is not wanted in the region and its creation created a huge number of refugees whose lands were taken and are forbidden from returning.

As Shehadi notes, Israeli paranoia is not justified. Three Arab states have made peace, most Gulf states have commercial relations with Israel and Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania have excellent relations with the Jewish state. Saudi Arabia offered total normalization in a peace plan, but Israel rejected it because it contradicts Zionist tenets of colonization of Judea and Samaria.

The West Bank is currently an unlivable prison, and settlements continue to expand there, even in the past year. It’s no wonder Palestinians fight back in the West Bank.

Gaza has been cut off from all funding for the crime of electing Hamas, 70% of the population is unemployed, basic services are at a low level and much of the population is malnourished. Israel appears to be trying to push Gazans to their limits. Understandably, Gazans react to these provocations with continuing rocket attacks.

Zionist propaganda says that Jews can’t live with Gentiles and everywhere they try to do this, life is Hell for Jews. In contrast, life appears to be Hell in the Jewish separation experiment called the Jewish state. In the Diaspora, in the US at least, anti-Semitism is at a low level, and Jews surely face less hostility and insecurity and fewer attacks than they do in Israel.

So the notion that Gentiles are full of homicidal hatred for Jews everywhere the two live together is proven to be false. The main thing that has magnified anti-Semitism has been the deeply flawed separation experiment, an experiment that seems to have failed to achieve its basic objectives.

Time for a reconsideration?

Check the comments at the end for the usual Jewish paranoia, mostly out of Israel. Shehadi is…guess what? A Jew-hater, an anti-Semite, a Nazi, and a genocidal racist. You know, in the real world, people who insist that just about everyone is out to kill them are called…um…mentally ill, specifically, paranoid.
