Are Spanish and Portuguese One Language?

As a previous writer correctly pointed out, sometimes the ‘real’ labs are, as he put it, ‘the streets’. Much of my graduate sociology graduate research was conducted ‘on-the-streets’. When you mingle with the speakers of languages, in this case Portuguese and Spanish, you gain a very different perspective, certainly different than what your academic labs statistics show. For the record, I am a native Spanish speaker from Spain. In Europe, Portuguese and Spaniards have no trouble at all communicating with one another – we consider ourselves brothers, historically, culturally and linguistically. This is fact.

Additionally, I actually studied in New Jersey where there are tons of Spanish and Portuguese speakers. I have many friends who speak these two languages, and I have heard them conversing rather effortlessly with one another all my life. What are you going to tell me, that I’m imagining things? Please. You might be tempted not to post this, but please do the right thing and do post it. Judging from some of the earlier posts, I can assure you that there will be many future responders who will agree with many of the things I have said.

Yes, and many Spanish speakers around me told me flat out that “they can’t understand Portuguese.” On the Net, when I write in Spanish to my Brazilian friends who speak Portuguese, *they can’t really understand me.* I asked them if they speak Spanish, and they said, “Not really.” And in the article the commenter commented on, there are many reports of Spanish and Portuguese speakers not understanding each other very well.

That’s right, I do not believe that it is the typical experience of Spanish and Portuguese speakers in Europe to communicate effortlessly.

I understand that Spanish speakers can’t even understand Fala, and that’s Galician (Portuguese with heavy Spanish influence) with heavy Castillian influence on top of that. Spanish speakers say they “can’t understand a word” of Fala.

On a recent program on Galician TV, a variety of odd forms of Galician or Portuguese spoken in Spain were highlighted. All of these odd forms received subtitles on Galician TV. Brazilian Portuguese speakers told me that they often have a hard time understanding and especially reading European Portuguese. Speakers of the Portuguese dialect closest to Galician report that attempts to speak with Galician speakers on the border with Spain are so difficult that both parties resort to Castillian to be understood. And Ethnologue says that is one language. Portuguese speakers report that they can’t understand Barranquenho, an archaic form of Portuguese full of Castillian spoken on the border with Spain.

My understanding is that even on the border of Spain and Portugal, border villages can’t exactly communicate with each other.

Spaniards can’t even understand other forms of so-called Castillian which are said to be one language.

Spaniards cannot understand either Asturian or hard Extremaduran. In fact, Extremaduran speakers can’t understand Asturian, and some say that that is one language. The Castillian spoken by old Galician women is so odd and full of Galician that most Spaniards cannot understand it. Spaniards can’t even understand Aragonese very well. In fact, on opposite ends of Aragonese, Aragonese speakers can’t even understand each other. Spaniards, especially from the north around the Basque country, can’t understand a word of hard Andalucian. Some Manchengo speakers even say that they are not understand by speakers of Standard Castillian.

Asturian speakers can’t understand Galician, and both are almost Portuguese. Younger speakers of West Asturian Eonavian can’t even understand Galician, and Eonavian is the closest Asturian to Galician.

If Spaniards can’t even understand other forms of so-called Castillian, how the Hell can they understand Portuguese?

When people speaking different languages talk to each other, they can often negotiate a certain meaning by speaking more slowly, adjusting their speech, etc. That doesn’t mean that they are speaking the same language. I meet Italian speakers around here, tourists who are confounded by English. I speak Spanish to them, and we negotiate some sort of a meaning where they can figure out what to order or whatever. So Spanish and Italians are the same language? No.

The intelligibility test for Spanish and Portuguese was very good. The results came back 54% intelligibility. The truth is that with 54% intelligibility in a face to face encounter, you may be able to negotiate some sort of a meaning via the mechanisms I described above. Intelligibility studies produce proper and correct results.

If what you say is true, that Spanish and Portuguese speakers communicate “effortlessly” everywhere they go, then guess what? Spanish and Portuguese are the same language! You believe that?

Dialogue is all in Portuguese. I could not understand a word of it, though I am fluent in Spanish.

White Nationalist Lies About Portugal and the Dangers of Mulattoization

Here is a typical lie that the White nationalist scum tell about Portugal and the dangers of Whites interbreeding with Blacks:

Portugal – Once a 16th century world power with colonies around the world – moor/negro slave interbreeding after 400 years has left it with a 40% illiteracy rate. The most backward country in Europe. Slow mongrelization without a shot being fired.

Well, guess what? It’s just not true. The Portuguese are not a mongrelized or mulatto people by any stretch of the imagination. Overall, the Portuguese are about 3.5% Black. In the South and Far South it is a lot higher, with some of the highest rates in Europe at around 5%.

Look, there is no way on Earth that 3.5-5% Black DNA in White genes is going to jack to your population. More Black genes than that? Maybe so. Whatever happened to Portugal, it had nothing to do with introgression of Black genes.

Another one of their lies talks about the greatness of “White Egypt.” Except there never was any White Egypt, scumbags. There was an Arab Egypt. You know, Arabs, those inferiors? And even the great Arab Egypt had ~12-13% Black genes. The glory of ancient Egypt shows that at least in the ancient world, one of the greatest societies the world ever produced was accomplished with a fair amount of Black genetics and mulattoization.

You know how these scumbags like to talk about the glories of great White South Africa? Guess what, fucktards? Those great White South Africans you love so much are 11% Black by genetics. There have even been cases of two White parents producing a child who looks pretty mulatto.

Let us look at the Arab World. The Arab World has gotten a lot Blacker over time with the introduction of Black slaves via Islam, but there was no corresponding degeneration of society. In fact, at the moment, the Blackest parts of the Arab World are the wealthiest of all.

Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Kuwait have quite a bit of Black genes in their populations. Percentages generally range from ~13-17%. But these are some of the wealthiest countries on Earth, with First World health and developmental figures, spectacular architecture, suburbs that look like Phoenix and a stunningly low crime rate, especially for violent crime.

So moral and economic degeneration of your population via low levels of mulattoization (~15% Black genes) is not guaranteed by any stretch of the imagination.

In fact, in recent times, we have few to no cases of mass mulattoization of any population anywhere on Earth. Show me one great, prosperous White society anywhere on Earth that degenerated into a moral and economic basket case in modern times due to mulattoization. Show me one, one, one, one.

Show me one in the Caribbean. One in South America. One in Central America. One in the Arab World. One in Africa. One anywhere.

Not that I think that mass introgression of Black genes into a White society is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Instead I think it is nothing much to worry about, since it doesn’t seem to be happening anywhere on Earth, which is probably a good idea.

The Portuguese Language in Spain

Very interesting documentary about a variety of Galician-Portuguese lects spoken in Spain along the border with Portugal.

The first lect is Oliventino, spoken in the town of Olivenza in Bajadoz near the Portuguese border. It is an archaic Alentejan Portuguese dialect that dates back from 1801, when Portugal lost control of the area to Spain. Portugal continues to claim the town, but Spain won’t give it back. In the interim, Oliventino has been heavily influenced by Extremaduran Spanish. Standard Portuguese speakers are typically lost with Oliventino.

The language is now spoken by those older than 60 years old and is apparently not being passed on to children. There are few to no young speakers.

In Alcantara in Caceres and Bajadoz,  several archaic Portuguese lects are spoken. They are close to Alentejan Portuguese.

In Herrera de Alcántara in Caceres, an ancient Portuguese from the 1200′s called Firrerenho is spoken. This area was made part of Spain in 1297.

In Cedillo and Valencia de Alcántara in Caceres, an archaic Portuguese dialect from the 1700′s called Cedilhero are spoken. Cedilhero is spoken here because Portuguese colonists were the first people to settle in the region at that time. Cedilhero is close to Alentejan Portuguese. The youngest speakers are in their 60′s.

In the Xalima Valley in the towns of San Martín de Trevejo, Eljas and Valverde del Fresno, Fala is still spoken by almost all inhabitants. This is an Galician dialect that has been influenced by the Castillian and Extremaduran languages. Apparently the Galician settlers moved to the region long ago and then got cut off from the rest of Galicia and the lect underwent independent development. It’s fully intelligible with Galician.

A Portuguese lect is spoken in Almedilha in Salamanca Province. Little is known about this lect.

In the town of Calabor in Zamora, a Galician dialect with heavy Castillian and especially Senabrese Leonese influences is spoken. Little is known about this lect.

If you speak Portuguese or Spanish, you might want to listen to these speakers and see if you can understand them. It’s better to cover up the subtitles though because that will help you understand better. Covering up the subtitles, I understood very little of what these folks were saying. But I only speak Spanish fairly well, and I don’t speak Portuguese at all, though I can read it a bit since I have studied it.

This video shows us that to some extent, categories like “Spanish” and “Portuguese” are more political than linguistic categories, since with a lot of these lects, it is hard to tell where one language ends or the other begins. It is also hard to put some of these lects into linguistic categories like “Spanish” or “Portuguese.”

Greece Just Defaulted on Its Debt

I don’t understand why the corporate media is not covering this because it’s huge news. If you own Greek bonds, bottom line is you ain’t gonna get paid back. You’re left holding the bag, and a lot of these folks are going to have to eat a Hell of a lot of money.

Excellent news! I have said for a long time now that this is the only solution. The alternatives is decades of debt bondage, radical reductions in wages, benefits and living standards, the actual selling off of Greek national territory (there were discussions of selling some Greek islands to the banksters). Austerity doesn’t work. All it does is prolong recessions and depressions. Why is austerity proposed as any kind of remedy for anything when a state is in recession or depression. It doesn’t help a single thing. All it does is make everything that much worse.

The only possible reason that austerity is advocated during recessions and depressions is as a weapon of class war. The upper classes see the recession or depression as a perfect chance to wage class war on the classes below them. They can shrink the state, reduce benefits and wages and dramatically reduce the standards of living for the bottom 80% of the population. And where does the money the 80% lost go? It goes to the banksters and the rich, to the 1%.

As we can see with the demands of the Greeks to sell off their islands, it’s no longer necessary to invade countries in order to conquer territory. Now the rich can conquer territory via usury, without even firing a shot. So today’s rich are like the imperial conquerors of times past. Our most recent example was the fascists of World War 2. Today’s rich mimic the Axis Powers as they try to annex foreign lands via usury.

However the downside to the Greek default is serious. The money is owed to French and German banks which are undercapitalized, probably illegally, as it is. They are too big to fail, as the saying goes, and they will need to be bailed in some Euro version of TARP. After which there will probably be a credit crunch.

And Portugal and Ireland are surely waiting in the wings. One wonders how much longer they can hold out, especially with the enticing example of Greece in front of them. I predict Portugal will be next, and I am quite sure they will default. There’s really nothing else for them to do.

Just a few days ago, Greece held elections. The pro-austerity parties got trounced in a drubbing of historic dimensions. I will have more to write on that later.

Bailing Out the Banksters

Another nice little piece from Revolutionary Praxis, this time about the financial crisis. Marxists may not have very good solutions to the problems of capitalism, but at least they identify the problem correctly. Marxists make the stark and correct point that capitalism as it presently exists is pretty much of a shit system. In addition, hardly anyone anylyzes capitalism better than Marxists. Marxist analyses of capitalism are very accurate with little lying or exaggeration involved.

On the contrary, it is nearly impossible hear the truth about capitalism in a capitalist country. Almost all capitalists and almost everyone bought off by them in the media and the state is doing nothing but lying about the nature of the system and how it works.

The reason they do this is because if the capitalists and their dog whores told the truth about the system, people wouldn’t like it quite so much. In fact, they might start hating it.

The analysis below about the current financial crisis is smack dead right on. It’s a matter of historical record. But how many Americans know this basic truth? How often does the media or the politicians of either party tell you the truth about what really happened. Even Democratic politicians won’t fess up to the truth. This is because the Democratic Party and many so called liberal Democrats are actually bought off by the capitalist system, hence they are motivated to lie about it.

From the capitalist apologists and liars (a capitalist is always a liar – this is his essential nature. He’s not capable of telling the truth), we hear all sorts of explanations for the crash and the dead economy.

• Excess government spending: A lie, this had nothing to do with it, and cutting spending will only make the economy worse and worse.
• Too much welfare: This had nothing to do with it, and cutting welfare will just make the economy worse and worse.
• Too much government regulation: On the contrary, it was the loosening of regulations demanding by the capitalists and implemented by neoliberal politicians in both parties that caused the crash.
• Government forced kind, loving, sweet, Jesus-like banksters to make loans to worthless deadbeat niggers and spics (or, Niggers and spics crashed the White economy): Actually the state didn’t force anyone to make any loans to anyone. The capitalist banksters deliberately made loans to people they knew full well would never pay off their own loans. In addition, the terms with such, with exploding payments, that the payment schedule was designed to make you default on your loan. So the foreclosure crisis was created by banksters themselves. The Blacks and Browns, and many Whites, were just more victims of the banksters.

Below, the current crisis is laid out clearly. In a nutshell, what happened was that deregulation allowed the parasitical finance sector to set up giant casinos where they could place bets of various strange financial instruments.

Via massive fraud, criminal gangs called “major banks” ended up buying huge packages of securities that were made of housing mortgages, many of which were bad loans. Those bad loans were made deliberately to people who could not afford to buy houses because the banks resold the loans right away and got a commission on every sale.

So the banks were selling homes to people who they knew full well would go belly-up on their payments and lose their homes. The banks then sold these toxic securities to suckers, mainly other banks. First they got another group of criminal gangs called “accounting agencies” to mark the loans as AAA – the best of all. It was a pyramid scheme that could do nothing but crash when the value of the bad securities was realized. Many banks suddenly realized that they were sitting on trillions in assets that were worth maybe 20 cents on the dollar.

The whole financial system threatened to go belly up. The state stepped in and bailed out the firms, but not before Finance Capital crashed the economy. The state now holds billions in junk securities worth 20 cents on the dollar. The state (we the people) paid one dollar for those packages  that are only worth 20 cents, all to bail out their rich banker buddies. We, the people, were left holding the bag.

Now there is a debt crisis all over the West as a result of the banker criminals ripping off society. In order to pay back the bankers, the people have been enlisted. New taxes, declining spending and a crashed standard of living is in store for us for years, if not decades, all so the rich can get paid off for their crime wave.

Bailing Out Bankers

In 2008 there was an international economic crisis brought about by the
reckless speculation of investment bankers. Governments , including the
British Government, had to support banks by injecting many hundreds of
billions of pounds into them. Otherwise the whole financial system would
have collapsed causing a major economic depression.

Where Did The Money Come From?

The Labour Government, which had encouraged banking speculation, raised these bail-out funds to save the bankrupt banks by borrowing money from other banks, investment companies and wealthy people. The present Coalition Government is trying to pay off these loans by cutting public spending. They are holding down public sector pay, reducing welfare benefits, cutting back public services and attacking pensions.

It is ordinary people – the ninety-nine percent – who are being forced to pay for the foolish greed of the banker members of the capitalist class -
the one per cent (or less). Meanwhile the Government’s banker friends go on taking their multi-million pound bonuses.

Bankrupt Governments

At the same time as big banks became unable to meet their obligations,
some governments – in Portugal, Greece, Italy and Spain – were getting
into deep, unsustainable debts. In order to maintain public spending they
have been borrowing more and more from the bankers.

As these governments’ debts have grown the bankers – the “markets” – see their lending as more risky and charge a higher rate of interest on further loans. This has simply intensified the financial problems of the debtor governments which have to borrow more from the bankers at even higher rates of interest to try not to default on their loan repayments.

Loan Sharks

These banks are behaving like loan sharks who lend money to poor people
at very high interest rates. Then when the borrowers can’t meet the
repayments the loan shark offers to lend more money at even higher
interest rates. The borrowers are trapped in a cycle of increasing
indebtedness.

In the case of the big debtor governments in the Eurozone, such as the
Greek Government, the situation is different from an individual debtor
because if the governments stop paying their loan repayments then the
banks who made them start to collapse.

So other governments in the Eurozone, such as the German and French, have to borrow funds to prop up banks to prevent the international financial system collapsing. And yes, it is ordinary people in these countries who have to pay more tax and suffer cuts in public services to pay for bailing out the bankers. Whatever happens, we lose and the bankers win!

Time For Change

Every day it becomes clearer that the capitalist system under which we
live is breaking down. Inequalities are widening, unemployment is rising,
and real incomes are falling. No longer can we afford to prop up the
bankers and the politicians who support them. It’s high time to start
fighting back!

Militant Secessionist and Autonomist Movements in Europe

We already went over the IRA struggle in a previous post.

I support most of these movements.

I support the armed Corsicans in Corsica fighting for independence from France. They are very careful about their bombs and bullets and rarely even hurt an innocent person, much less kill one. They mostly blow up unoccupied second homes being built on the coast. Sometimes there are people in the homes. In that case, they evacuate them so they can blow it up. Sometimes they strafe police cars and police stations, but that usually doesn’t cause any casualties. Sometimes they bomb police stations, but that usually doesn’t cause any casualties either.

I can hardly think of a more moral guerrilla movement. All they do is cause property damage and scare people. So what?

I also support the ETA in the Basque Country. They’ve declared a cease-fire anyway, and since then, they’ve been hit with endless raids and arrests. If that’s the way it’s going to be, why not take up arms again? Even when they were fighting, they just killed security forces and sometimes a few traitors. They gave ample warning of all their bombs so people could get out of the way.

Plus all of the Basque pro-independence youth movements and political parties have been outlawed as “wings of the ETA.” There are continuous arrests of these unarmed militants. Now that peaceful struggle is outlawed, why not take up arms again? However, the Basque language is in quite good shape these days. They have really turned things around in the past 30 years. It’s not in good shape in France, but even there, things are looking up.

The truth is that Spain and France are basically fascist countries. The fascists never left power in Italy, Spain or Portugal. They’ve been ruled by the Hard Right behind the scenes ever since fascism started. That’s who really runs those countries, no matter how many ruling “Socialist” parties there are. That’s why the Basques and Corsicans have to fight. Until they get a vote for self-determination, they need to fight.

It’s true that Spain has done better than France. Basque, Aranese and Catalan are recognized as official languages of France. The Catalan government mandates schooling in Catalan, TV and radio is in Catalan, signs must be bilingual, etc. This reasonable state of affairs has caused the Spanish speakers to rise up and scream that they are being discriminated against by Catalan fascists. Ridiculous, no?

I also support the Catalan movement, but it’s generally unarmed these days. Surely, they have a right to self-determination too? The Catalan language is actually in pretty good shape, but the Catalans are always screaming about it anyway. There are a few warning signs here and there, and there’s some hostility to Catalan on the part of local governments, especially in Murcia, France, the Balearic Islands and Valencia.

In Brittany, the movement is in very bad shape. I support autonomy there, not independence. The armed movement is dead. A bomb in a MacDonald’s in 2001 killed a young girl employee, and since then, the Breton movement has been more or less unarmed due to public revulsion over the act. The Bretons were very careful to try not to hurt innocent people with their bombs, but it looks like in this case, they fucked up.

There’s a pretty simple solution to all of these conflicts. Just give the separatists or autonomists a vote. In Brittany, they want simple stuff like Breton classes or bilingual or immersion programs in school. They badly need this because frankly, the Breton language is in catastrophic shape.

The French have always resisted this, a centralizing tendencies dating back to Jacobinism. The French Left has always been infected with Jacobinism due to the history of their Left, hence the somewhat fascist nature of the French Left. They frequently attack movements for minority languages as a reactionary indulgence.

Unfortunately, Jacobinism has sunk deep roots into the French body politic, and most French are Jacobins out of instinct alone it seems. At this point, they are probably genetically selecting for it.

Nigger Genes Ruined Portugal

So say the moron commenters on this article at American Renaissance.

That Portugal suffered some dysgenic effect due to allowing substantial Black genes into a White country has long been a trope of the worst of the White nationalists. This story was spread widely around the South during the Civil Rights era to warn of the dangers of breeding with Blacks.

True, Portugal has some problems. Just 28% of the Portuguese population between 25 and 64 has completed high school. The figure is 85% in Germany, 91% in the Czech Republic and 89% in the U.S. The government is just now mandating 12 years of school. As is, you can leave school at grade nine, and many do.

Portugal also has a serious debt crisis. It’s the poorest country in Western Europe, but that’s long been the case. Anyway, one country has to be poorest, right? Everyone can’t win the race.

Much is made of the Portuguese IQ. However, at 94, it seems high enough.

The “nigger genes” argument is particularly ugly, and is one reason that I regard WN’s as revolting human beings. Supposedly, Portugal imported some Black genes centuries ago during colonialism, I would assume particularly from Brazil.

There is a serious problem with this line. Portugal only has about 3% Black genes. It’s true that there is more in the South, where figures can range up to 6-7%. But that is still not very high. Surely allowing the ingress of 3% Black genes into a White population is not enough to destroy the country! That’s ridiculous.

More Nordicist and White Nationalist Insanity

We have a Nordicist in our comments section, posting on the thread about racial decline in Egypt.

According to most of these guys, race-mixing, in and of itself and independent of the stocks being mixed, causing automatic degeneration of any populations subjected to such mixing. This is obvious nonsense. In a region where a lesser stock exists, mixing via invasion or migration with a better stock with improve the overall quality of the stock. Race mixing can go either way depending on the stocks being mixed.

Ask any animal or plant breeder if mixing stocks causing automatic and immediate degeneration of the stocks involved. All animal husbandry and agriculture is based on “race-mixing” of various stocks to produce this or that breed.

Examples are given of “mongrelized” stocks such as in North Africa, the Arab World, Central Asia and South Asia. First of all, there’s not a lot of evidence that these stocks are any more mongrelized than anybody else, and there’s no evidence that race mixing caused any kind of stock decline over the years. Hell, it may well have improved matters. As I said, mixing can go one one way or the other. Were North Africans, Arabs and Central and South Asians really so superior before they got racially mixed? The evidence for this is about zero.

This commenter also pointed out some other White nationalist and Nordicist lies.

One is the age-old lie that ancient Greeks and Romans were Nordic Whites and that the declines of these empires occurred slowly over time as they got mixed with more and more “niggerish” (mixed with Black, Arab and Berber) genes. There’s little to no evidence for this. The ancient Romans were just Italians. The present day Italians are descendants of the Romans. The ancient Greeks were just Greeks. Present day Greeks are the descendants of the ancients.

Whether or not racial decline occurred in Egypt or not is up for grabs. Ancient Egypt was about 9% Black genetically. Modern Egyptians are about 20% Black. Between the time of ancient Egypt and modern Egypt, the Black % has about doubled. There are zero anthropologists who suggest that race mixing caused the decline of Egyptian Empire.

Further, ancient Egyptians were not really European Whites. They were Arabids and Berberids, the same “niggerish” stocks that supposedly caused the collapse of Rome and Greece!

The Egyptian Empire started in 3150 BC and lasted until 60 BC. Decline began to set in around 600 BC or so, about 80% of the way through the history of the empire. It progressed during the time of Alexander in 300 BC and by the time the Romans conquered, the Empire was on its last legs.

The same commenter says that North America used to be populated by Whites called Solutreans 20,000 YBP. There is zero evidence that these “Whites” in Europe ever made it to North America, and anyway, no one knows if Europeans of 20,000 YBP looked like Whites. Europeans of 30,000 YBP looked more like the Amerindians of the Washington State coast than any other race.

Supposedly, Asiatics in the form of Amerindians came across the Bering Strait and genocided the Whites of North America. This theory has interesting implications. It implies that North America is White land, not Indian land, and that Indians are not the natives and that they have no right to be here, completely the obverse of the standard narrative of Indians as natives and Whites as invaders and usurpers.

This commenter also holds that the ancient Polynesians were Whites called “the Lapita people.” Later on, the Polynesians “sea-niggers” showed up and genocided the ancient Whites. This theory appears to be utter nonsense. The Lapita came from Taiwan and were some of the greatest mariners who ever lived. They became the Filipinos, Indonesians, Polynesians, Micronesians and Melanesians.

The story of the racial decline of Portugal has been discussed previously on this site. First of all, we need to realize that most WN’s are Nordicists who think that Southern Europeans are non-Whites because they are Whites who have mixed with “niggerish” types like Blacks, Berbers and Arabs.

The notion is that Portugal was once a great White country = Nordic country. This follows from the north of Portugal, Lusitania, having Celtic roots. Over time, the niggerish genes moved in, and Portugal declined.

But the timeline is all messed up. The Black genes probably came in during the Roman Empire and not later. The Arab and Berber genes came in during the Arab conquest of Iberia, but this was before Portugal was a great power, not after. After Portugal became a great power, there were few to no Berber, Arab or Black genes added to the stock. The decline of Portugal followed logically from the decline of all colonial European powers, and race had nothing to do with it.

Racial Decline Did Not Cause the Decline of Egypt

Shawn, a White nationalist, says:

Ramses II, for example, had red hair and a projecting nose. Later dynasties were shaped by racial mixing which lead to their lack of development over time.

This is probably one of the ugliest White nationalist lies out there. It holds that “race-mixing” of Whites with non-Whites (Blacks) caused the decline of the Egyptian empire. There’s apparently nothing to it. The ancient Egyptians were not “Whites,” they were just Egyptians.

The genes of the ancient Egyptians look remarkably similar to the genes of modern Egyptians. Ancient Egyptians were said to be about 91% Caucasian and 9% Black, and modern Egyptians are approximately the same. Nubians of the South are Blacker, but that was always a separate kingdom anyway.

There is no evidence for long, slow decline of the Pharaohs. The Empire did spectacularly well for millenia. At the very end, things started to go downhill, but shortly before, they had been ruled by some very White Greek peoples in the form of Macedonians. As the empire was falling apart, its decrepit nature allowed it to be invaded by Blacks from Nubia, and there were some Black rulers of the declining empire there at the end. The invading Blacks did not cause the collapse of the empire either, another common WN line, instead, they were symptomatic of it’s collapse, which was indigenous and not related to invasions.

Sure, ancient Egyptians looked a bit different from modern ones, but they were not exactly “Whites.” They were olive-skinned Arabid-Berberid types.

Racial and genetic continuity from ancient times to the present among Egyptians is a constant theme in such research; it’s not even controversial anymore. I guess WN’s never got the memo.

WN’s also have some other lies about “race-mixing.” Supposedly, race mixing caused the ruin of India. There are lighter people in the North, probably recent immigrants, and darker Dravidian types in the South. Yes, they have mixed together, but there’s no evidence that such mixing caused racial degeneration of the people there. Keep in mind that mixing could just as easily raise the quality of a stock as lower it. Ask any animal breeder.

Another lie concerns Portugal. Supposedly, Portugal was a great White country for many centuries and a major colonial power. At some point, they done important some niggers, and the niggers bred in with the wonderful Lusitanians and degenerated them. What followed was the degeneration of Portugal’s status as a great power.

First of all, Portuguese only have about 4% Black genes. That’s not enough to do much to the stock racially good or bad. Second, those genes go back to a very long time ago, probably to the time of the Moorish invasion in the 700′s. Third, there’s no evidence that Portugal’s relative decline as a colonial power was caused by race.

Most colonial powers declined after time. Spain handed the ball England after the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Britain ruled the high seas until they were supplanted as a power by the Nazis military, in particular, their Air Force. Empires rise and fall as regularly as the sun does. That’s not news to anyone.
