Republican Psychos Threaten to Shut Down the Government Again

Here.

The last time these nuts tried this in the 1990′s, it was a total catastrophe. The public turned on them. But any idiot knows that these kooks are just crazy enough to do this again, and again, and again. Shutting down the government is the essence of what Republicanism is all about. Republicans hate, hate, hate, hate the government, at all levels and in all forms. Shutting down the thing that they hate is the logical thing to do.

The last time they tried this, we had a President with some balls,  a real man named Bill Clinton. He stared them down and said, “Go ahead!” The problem is now we have a pussy-ass Republican bitch named Barack Obama who’s one of the few documented cases of an actual human invertebrate (medically confirmed). Further, he loves the Republican Party, and he can’t get enough of their ideas.

So when the Republicans say we will shut down the government unless we get to pass these 7,948 insane and evil proposals, what’s Jellyfish Man gonna do? Give em what they want. There will be no government shutdown.

The Republicans will take hostages again like last time, Appeaser in Chief Barack the Wuss will bitch about the hostage-taking terrorists in a press conference where he cries for his Mommy, then the Big Girl will give the Republicans every damn thing they want, and call it “bipartisanship.” The entire media, “left” to “right” with few Krugman exceptions here and there, will stand up and cheer like mad while the Republican nightmare rears its head in the horizon.

On the other hand, if Obama does call their bluff (probably less than 1% chance of Superpussy doing that) I would think it will be a political death knell for the Republican Party for a couple of years or so. People will be so mad about the shutdown that Barack could light live kittens on fire on national TV for the next two years and still win in 2012.

On the other hand, this is not 1995 anymore. The Republican Party controls the media and the airwaves to a much greater extent now than they did then. Fox News was nothing back then, and the entire media is so much further to the right now than it was 16 years ago. If the government shuts down, the Scum Media will probably put out the message that “both sides are to blame,” and this may confuse many millions of Americans and take the wind out of the rage at Republicans.

There’s a way around all of this, of course. In cases where the two sides cannot agree on a budget, a continuing resolution is passed to simply fund the government at the level of the last fiscal year. This can theoretically go on year after year. The problem is that Boehner, bowing to Teabagger lunatics, has said that he will refuse to pass any continuing resolution that does not have at least some cuts in it. So Boehner’s not playing the CR game.

What I don’t understand is why the voters keep electing these Republican clods. Everyone hated it when they shut down the government the last time. The party never apologized for it, and has been threatening more shutdowns ever since. Yet the morons who hate seeing the government shut down keep voting for the party who promises to do it? What’s with that?

“Yet the morons who hate seeing the government shut down keep voting for the party who promises to do it? What’s with that?”

Unfortunately, there are only two major parties and the only real way voters can express dissatisfaction with one is to vote for the other. Like I said in the Zachary Taylor thread, we’re seeing an accelerated rate of Congressional party switching because of overall dissatisfaction with how politics is working. Middle class voters are tired of having to choose between the party that transfers wealth to the idle rich and the one that transfers it to the idle poor.

Tea party branches don’t even bother answering mail which asks leadership when it is going to legitimatize itself devoting a fraction of the time to reining in and punishing when applicable the banksters who destroyed the economy, as it does to the unions?

That’s because in the US, most real power is centered in private hands. What they really hate is democracy or anything close to it.

Wow, this is the most idiotic thing I have ever read. I cannot believe how someone with such ignorance of politics can offer such a strong nonsenscical fabrication.
